Class decisions compared to iCBT1

Hey guys, so with the announcement of the upcoming iCBT2, I was wondering if you guys are planning to play the same class as iCBT1 and try to reach a further rank or are you planning to try something different ? I played cleric (Bokor) in the first iCBT, but I’m might go towards an archer or a more melee oriented cleric.

I’m still confused which one of the two classes I’m gonna create this time. Swordsman or Monk arrgghh!!! Maybe for now I’ll just observe what class are most people into.

I would play the same class I did before but what influenced my decision to change wasn’t because of all the amazing new skill changes but the announcement of Templar being a swordsman class.

This time around I’ll more than likely be some form of a hoplite, maybe even a centurion or doppelsoldner, not sure yet.

Same here, but i guess for archers things remains the same? The STR/DEX discussion is at what pace?
Besides that i see oblique shot is now tier 1, so, its the bread and butter call yet?

I’ll be the same boring class as before a Pyromancer… no matter how much they nerf you to the ground my love, I will always love your red costume. ALWAYS!

Question here for anyone that has tried a Squire on kCBT3 i am not sure on either a dps build with support as a squire or a tank build with squire and what stat points to build for each since i havent had a chance to try out this game yet

Make a monk using a sword

I hope it will be the same patch the korean ToS is using right now
I think full DEX until you reach close to 80~90% crit is better on the long run, but you will suck hard until level 60-ish. :X
I got a Scout to 80 and it gets fun after that wall. ^^
B-but Flame Ground rocks!

Idk what I will do… I leveled already so many characters on KR that I am a little sick of the early game… I wanted to test some later ranks like Rogue and Druid, tho. :frowning:

It does but they nerfed Fire Ball and Fire Pillar doesn’t have the pull attribute anymore :stuck_out_tongue: Not much of a nerf but still is one.

Take a break from the game for a bit or just have fun in a party instead of rushing through the early game. That’s how I got through it (although I only went through the early game twice and I haven’t ever really passed rank 3 :stuck_out_tongue:) If you’ve been doing the party thing then… .-. no clue

But seriously, gotta keep yourself from burning out of the game.

Your idea made me a little bit more confused.
However… swords have better stats than hammers like crit, most hammers have magic attack stat which is not so useful for me as a pure atk Monk. We can go naked in pvp anyway so I can just remove my shield and primary weapon to appear cooler… but if wearing them matters I would use sword and shield

This is the only reason I would use a Hammer instead of a Sword for a Pure ATK Monk. BOOM!!!

They have been balancing a lots of classes past these two months and there are new class system added in this game… If I ever get the beta Im going for Swordsman + Barbarian + Corsair and Doppel.

Right back to Bokor. Terraria made me love Summoners, so no amount of buffing to other classes or nerfing of Bokor will make me main any other class.

I wonder if they add Bokemon Bokor in CBT2??

They reverted a little of the Fire Ball nerf. Brfore it had 220~ damage at level 5, after the nerf was 110~ and now is close to 150.
Most of the damage comes from weapon, base stats and attribute anyways. It is still pretty good.

And yeah, most of my burn out is because of solo play usually, but I think it’s better than getting to the real thing with worse EXP rates and take a class I don’t like in the end. (my newest regret was Scout, not what I was expecting…)

I am sure at least for my Wizard when the game goes live, tho.

Just do it for the costume :sunglasses: Scout or Rogue Costume = But yeah, finding a class that fits your style seems hard and you’ve been in the kCBT testing a lot of stuff  I would get a headache lol.

Pretty sure Scout is a class that is positional heavy (even more than Sapper, Quarrel Shooter, Rogue, and Falconer in my opinion) - means that you need to keep in mind both your position, the enemies position, and the map layout at all times. And even after you managed to do all that, your DPS and CC are only as good( or only a tad bit higher or lower) as other classes anyway. (These reasons make me fall in love with scout!)

I’m still going Sword, Highlander 3, Squire 2 so the new class system hasn’t really affected me.

Will probably try Swordsman this time.

Priest was fun, being self-sufficient was nice but it also made boss fight too easy since I always have Heal ready to fall back on and I can kill pretty much any boss by throwing enough Cure at it.

And I kinda got addicted to sprinting everywhere when I made a swordsman alt at the end of ICBT1…
