[Class] Chaplain INT or SPR

So my friend and I have an argue recently where INT or SPR Chaplain would be suit for PvP.

My opinion was INT cus most of the skill yield with it and I don’t really rely on Stone Skin for a reason as we get higher it would be not useful as it was on low level.

Her opinion was go full SPR because you have magic attack resistance and would live longer in PvP according to what she said.

Neither, go with con.

On a more serious note (and take note I’m only lvl 158 so most of the things I know is second hand information) INT and SPR benefit different skills.

INT:
Better Cure damage.
Better healing and damage on Heal
Better aspersion, and by extension apergellium damage (because of the 10% class rank bonus to INT and STR, 70% higher INt from sta allocation at job 7).
If your last two class picks have good magic damage (like druid or plague doctor) it will add to that.

SPR:
Stronger stone skin.
Better deprotect zone.
More mana (should be a fairly minor benefit if you’ve reached 7:th job advancement).
Magic resist.
Note that aspersion and mass healing scales with SPR, so while inferior to INT you can still do some damage

That said, the overall consensus seem to be that Chaplain is a crappy pvp class, since the class requires you to run up to enemies and smack them, and most opponents are never going to allow you to do that.

Also would like to note, while we might not get this nerf, as we might have completely different balance patches, stone skin got nerfed for PvP where it’s only 1/4 of your spirit added to block.

it’s not hard to chase people when you resist all their attacks lol.

it’ll still have the base value which is like 400. still enough block to block majority of people’s damage who are phys.

Answer should be rather obvious, priest 3 alone forces people to get spr
chaplain is an extension of that.

Even if int would do more base damage, spr would stil take the cake
due to Zalciai (scrollable) while also having more benefits then int.

This is all looking at only chaplain, one could argue this could fall off with plague docter/kabbalist into the mix.

INT will probably be twice as strong as SPR in dps with asperion auto attacks due to getting 10% bonus per rank. But thats when we get 10 ranks. Also our main weapons tend to have high magic attack anyways. We also have asperions attribute bonus. Asperion is magic so INT boost as much as SPR per point. SPR is more defensive and supportive. Mostly due to stone skin. Magic defense and defense stats aren’t good in this game due to it being a flat reduction so far. Having some con is and wearing plate armor with maxed out attribute is good for survival. In our 6 and 7 circle we can c2 cleric for a stronger wall pd for status resist. Or druid 2 for that short but invincible ground buff. Im not an expert or anything this is just what i gathered from digging through cleric class forum section.
