I saw a lot of comments there people admire this class, saying it’s buffs are very useful. I saw a lot of videos with chrono grinding or running through Earth tower. And then I decided to create chrono too. But before this I asked some people for good chrono build. In the end of our discussion one guy said, that chrono is totally useless class. He had two arguments: 1.chrono can’t give good damage 2. chrono can’t give normal buffs. At first I was dissapointed and didn’t believe in what he said (second argument) After this I started to hesitate with my choice of support class. I like it’s costume and animation of skills very much, but is it really usefull, as people say?

Chrono is one of the best support classes and currently “everybodys Darling”.
Haste and Quicken are must have and the reason every party want to take you along. Chrono is the only class which can give a party running speed. Especially with 221, when the grind starts, the faster you run, the faster you kill, more exp for party. For Duoleveling: Quarrelshooter love running speed and Quicken. Also Bosshunter love haste as well.
Pass is one of the most important skills in Earth Tower Floor 1 for all classes with high cooldowns. Warlocks love pass. Actually… who doesn’t love 25-30 sec. cooldown reduction?
Reincarnate is wanted for bosses. Even though the chance is low, everyone hopes a chrono can apply the buff on the boss. (spawns anew, 2 cubes for party)
Stop and Slow are two skills which are more bound to what you want to major with your chrono. Stop is better for PvE (Earth Tower floor 2 & 4) while Slow is better for PvP.
Backmasking sadly got nerfed but it still has some use. Its really an emergency reroll “if” the DDs going down. Its expensive though and needs some practice to apply the right way.
So in total. All skills of Chrono 3 have use in any party, regardless if PvE or PvP.
You will be more selected by your choice of rank 2-4 though currently there is not much difference in preferences when it comes to pve. You are not meant to do dmg, regardless of the choice of classes you take. You don’t need to have high dps.
so, who ever told you Chrono is totally useless has no fucking clue about chrono ;))) screw him.

They’re right, but they’re misinformed and biased for damage. Chrono is a supportive class, so ofcourse it has no actual damage in it’s kit.
People value Chronos because it speeds up everyone. However, to me at least, its an all-or-nothing class to scale up Quicken, Haste, and Pass. Reincarnate and Stop are finicky but neat when farming or getting overwhelmed. Slow is also a great skill but you won’t max it but you will get it’s Crit Res decrease and it’s Damage Nullification Attribute.
Would I say they’re demanded? Only for Earth Tower.
Are they very good offensive supports? Yes, especially with coordinated parties. You’ll commonly see Chronolinkers who devote and sacrifice their solo-play for overall party support. I recommend having friends to level up with though, as when you get to Rank 4 your solo grinding speed will flat line.

hmmm… i disagree… im a chrono and everytime i go to grinding spots they ask me if I want to join.

It’s like when people want Pelts. You can do it without them but Swash is straight dumb when it comes to gathering mobs. It’s the same deal with Chrono, everyone wants you but you aren’t necessarily vital to the parties’ success in grinding. At the same time though you might as well enjoy the free ride.

That rare moment when you absolutely love the idea of a character class that’s 150% META. Wish I could be you… unfortunately everything that appeals to me is so far from META I do nothing but solo lol.

its a good support class, you will have a bad time leveling, but everyone will want u. just bcuz ONE guy said its useless, and a bunch of ppl said it wasnt, why would u hesitate over what ONE guy said. he might just have had a bad experience with chrono.
- Not every character can be evaluated by their dps. Most Clerics have less damage than wiz and archer, does that make all clerics useless?
- Again, it is not all about direct numbers to damage. Skill refreshing and movement speed can add so much speed to your team that “normal buffs” could never do.

its not the best support class but the skills are one of the kind and it’s very satisfying to have 1 chrono in the party

Chrono 3 is good for grinding, WB, ET, and even pvp.
You should probably unfriend and block that friend of yours. While you’re at it, might as well mix in with people that are heaven and earth in terms of every aspect from that said friend. It’ll help you a long way to blend in with the right crowd because his arguments were total bollocks!

I don’t think there’s a single endgame party that doesn’t benefit from chrono3 (or even chrono2 for that matter)

Chrono doesn’t give damage? Chrono gives 25% crit rate, 450 attack speed, and pass is pretty much an ability that lets any class with a cd double their overall skill damage.

Chrono is good for dg/ET/PvP/GvG… basically every content in the game.
Just make sure you get circle 3 and NOT leave it at circle 2
Everyone craves a Chrono and foams at the mouth when they see one. Then they throw a tiny net over you and drag you away into slavery as a buff bot.

Not trying to promote my own class but with sufficient DPS a chrono boosts exp/hour by a lot since grinding right now involves a lot of running between spawns. Many evac groups for example straight up refuse to grind without a chrono.
Its the best class for helping friends far below your level range too. Speeds up their questing and whatnot. Haste doesn’t discriminate.
