I just wanted to drop off a quick quality-of-life suggestion for the chat UI.
Instead of prefixing a message with “[Shout]” or “[Groups]” or whatnot, would it be possible to use the message type icon as a prefix instead? (You know, the icons like the yellow chat bubble, orange megaphone, and so on.) That way, we can get more text in the initial line of a message.
Also, using an icon would help make multiline messages easier to scan because the icon stands out more. (That’s one thing I miss about the old chat UI with the bubbles: the bubbles made whole messages easier to distinguish.) Or, maybe indent subsequent lines of a message just a little bit.
The only thing is that you might need to add a new icon for system messages.
Also, I’m sure IMC is well aware, but the text after multiple item links loses some of the font effects (like the black outline stroke).
