I really don’t like that “global chat” with non-sense talking all the time.
The normal chat is filled with flooders. And theres no way to filter that.

I would like to be able to read whisper, normal, and party chat all in the same box, with global chat in a different tab.
It would be nice to just be able to create tabs and filter what you see in them. However this is a common feature in mmos so i think they just haven’t got around it yet and are more focused on game play currently.
Agreed. There’s channel selectors on the left side, and it would be great if those were toggle switches instead so you could choose which to turn on and off. For example, someone’s spamming Say and Yell but I still want to see both Party and Whisper in the same window.
I really hate the feature where you type in a different mode, and the chat will change form “all” to the new chat mode >_>
Also, I want a dedicated chatlog for GM announcement. When I’m busy trying to survive, I really don’t pay attention to the announcement regardless of how big the text is.

Agreed the chat is not super smooth to use. Make it possible to do our own settings (like in pretty much every mmo ever 
).
There should be also penalty for those who is talking on shout chat section like they are speaking with their close friend and making small talk all time. It’s seriously annoying and I don’t want to hear people talking all time like they are speaking with each other in MSN, Facebook, IRC or in Skype.
Grow up people!
And yeah I want to also block those people too but it seems these systems are not working at the moment.

Why would there be a penalty for that?
Most people are speculating that the megaphone will be a cash shop item just like in every f2p mmo ever.
Aside from customizable chat, I do wish we had map chat as well so that we can advertise for parties in map chat instead of global chat.
I dont see the reason for a “megaphone” cash item.
The ideal suggestion:
-You want to advertise, buy, sell something ? There should be a trade chat.
-Want to recruit ? A guild chat(or recuiting for those non guildies, after you join it will be shown from your guildies instead)
-Alone, need a party ? A party chat(for those who arent this is the place to find one, after you joined one, it will show only from the party you are in)
- Wanna chat just to throw away the time ? Chat channels just for that.
- A system related, announcement and staff stuff chat tab.
- And finally a chat just for the combat: the damage you have given, taken, skills, heals, pots expired, buffs, debuffs timers, etc.
Or just all in one, filterable.

A cool down on megaphone would be amazing.
But agreed on something to kill that spam.
But party chat and whisper is broken.
