I can’t charge the energy bolt skill. I tried all the controller options,different keys. The character always let the spell go instantly without letting me charge it, even if I don’t let go the button. Even created a new character to test it and have the same issue. Channeling sleep works just fine.
It’s not just you, it’s how the spell works now after the rebalance patch. It’s an instant cast, full charge. It’s better than it used to be.
Also if you have target lock on like that you will keep getting that “out of range” error. Turn it off and spam 3x times whenever dude. It’s amazing.

lol you are complaining about this? old energy bolt used to get stuck and become unable to half charge, making it an aggravating experience. bug probably still exists with ice bolt and alchemist-ake missile.
It is not a bug, it was intended during the Combat System Change
You will always cast according to your skill level, do have to charge it.
you can avoid fully charging icebolt to level5, for less than half a second to launch an icebolt quickly. this is far superior to slowcast fully charge. the bolt bug is when you become unable to do this and must fully charge it everytime to avoid shooting blanks, and requires a mapchange to fix.
the bolt bug no longer applies to energy bolt as it never charges anymore.
