Character stats. elemental properties and types of damage

so i saw this post today
http://toswiki.treeofsaviorgame.com/mechanic/stat

but it seems a little bit confusing. Any beta tester here to help?

Depends on your question. What are you confused about exactly?

the main thing is whats the difference between leveling a stabbing damage or a slash damage, how do i choose to lvl them

I’m guessing you’re asking about the damage charts?

Basically each armor type (which each monster has its own, as well as player armor) is strong and weak against certain attack types.

Weak means takes 25% more damage, while Strong means take 25% less damage:

Cloth Armor - Weak vs Slashing
Leather Armor - Weak vs Stabbing, Strong vs Striking
Plate Armor - Weak vs Striking, Strong vs Slashing
Ghost Armor - Weak vs Magic, Strong vs Slashing, Stabbing, and Striking (All physical damage)

The Elemental Table is similar (The key to left is wrong - Earth and Poison are swapped)

Fire and Ice are Strong vs each other, but weak vs the same element (50% bonus / 50% resistance)
Lightning does 100% bonus damage vs Ice (water), but 50% less vs lightning and earth
Poison does 50% less to itself and 50% more to earth
Earth does 50% more to lightning and 50% less to earth
Holy and Darkness both do 100% more to each other, but are not weaker vs the same element

Is this site correct? I thought there was no Agi

Yes, it’s actually one of the few pages that are correct, save for a few minor mistakes. The official term for AGI is DEX and Vitality is supposed to be CON. Also, the screenshot of the UI is outdated.

what are confusing of??

well, I see that the stats arrangement is basically rather similar to Ragnarok Online.

Interesting  thanks for the summery

I have a few questions too about stats.

  1. Are there stat differences between classes? I mean like Archer could start with more evasion or something.

  2. Are main stats (str/int/etc) significant? They were in Ragnarok but there are some games where they are just a bit of extra help…

  3. Is there attack speed in this game?

thanks bro you are the real mvp, so i guess ill have to change my build, to balance slashing and stabing

the problem i had was about the slashing and stabbing difference, its not explained on the site

No problem man, but it really depends on what class tree you’re in. If you’re swordsman, you have a decent amount of variety, if you’re worried about that. Some classes focus in one damage type or the other, and some have a variety of skills in regard to these different damage types. Archer is primarily stabbing (arrows), and mages are magic (obviously, lol). Clerics have a bit of variety as well, but mostly striking and magic.

Also, @Ayalon, to answer your questions

  1. I can’t confirm anything right now, but I feel like there might be slight differences / bonuses throughout the classes. However, they are probably very minimal, and stats like these are primarily gained via equipment.

  2. Yes - when you go up in base level, you get stat points to modify the major 5 stats: STR, CON, INT, SPR, and DEX. STR is for physical damage (including bows), crit damage / CON is for HP, Crit resist, and carry weight / INT is for Magic damage / SPR is for Mana / DEX is for physical accuracy and crit chance and evasion.

  3. There is an attack speed stat, but it is not raised via leveling a major stat (listed above). It seems to be influenced by buffs, usable items, and special equipment only.
