infact all signs point to each beta test phase deleting all your characters so maybe dont play too hard unless you really wanna test things for imc

Your info gets deleted usually at the end of CBT, and only once in my life have I seen it done at the end of OBT.

They’ll be wiped, I’m sure in Open Beta though it’ll be saved.

This… it would be pretty brutal for new players if you log in to find out that you can’t possibly catch up to CBT players who’ve been around for way longer than you. It’s advantageous enough that you know the best places to get exp/quests/etc. and newbies are going to still be figuring things out when they start. Nobody likes that crappy situation where a bunch of players get to the top, get rich, then start colluding / monopolising items on the auction house to get richer.

OBTs are different because everyone has a chance to play, and early access is usually only a few days worth or time and not enough an obscene amount of different. But a month of CBT? That’s on a whole other level ><

yes it will, after all cbt’s there is a character wipe, before the next phase.

Normal in closed betas, the characters are wipe. So everyone will have a fresh start on launch or open beta. :smile:

except every single korean test they have deleted everything before the next test.

They initialized all of the data from the first icbt
and (i dont exactly remember whether it was an announcement or a patch note or whatever) but only the family names were kept.
so the only real “disadvantage” new testers would get are the fact that some family names have already been taken. that’s all.
