Character "EXP-Share" idea for replay/leveling revamp

So, the idea is simple. It works just like the Pokemon series.

If you are able to get the EXP-Share item/collection/achievement, all of you characters in barrack (characters you have created) are going to obtain the same EXP amount from any other character.

Example:

I have 3 characters.

  • Level 10 Swordsman
  • Level 110 Wizard
  • Level 275 Archer

Once the EXP Share is activated and my Lv275 archer receives a 50k EXP amount, every character in my account will also receive 50k EXP.

The swordsman levels up to 65, the wizard levels up to 116 and the archer still receive the EXP amount (just guessing the levels here).

This will let the player level up his characters even faster, enabling the possibility to reroll characters but with less amount of time.

This idea is bad for MMOs, it can work on games like pokemon, but not here, this will cause more problems than solution, and any online game company want to keep their customers for a long time, what is the point in create 10 chars, Lv 1 to max and keep doing stuff that give exp to the 9 in the lodge? What is the point on Powerlevel alts when you don’t make an effort to play them, try out builds, and learn how to play with what you chose?

So what you gained in terms of exp in one character, other characters in the same team also gains the same amount?

I think I’ll have to disagree with you on that, I prefer just not having to do all the quests again(make them give exp cards right away when done in the same team once) when I make alts and grind my way.

Eh, I’d like this for side quests as they really don’t do much. Main quests I’d be fine to repeat tbh, most of them are quick per area and the side quests are bigger filler.

I don’t mind main quests or both, but you know quests these is what making TOS linear(gotta do them if you want to get out of it fast, specially if that’s one of your rerolls). At least with grinding you’re free to go on any maps on your level range.

I leveled a lot of alts at this point I just do my quests in TOS while touching my 3DS or playing gem TD.

The idea that @Huenato gave, I can’t see myself thinking it is good in any way.

But seeing what @Lostac said, we can have something like that (EXP for already completed quests on other character), for side quest for example (not that I mind doing quests, they are free teleports, and I quite like that aspect of them).

Thinking that way. We could have the adventure journal be team wide, so that monster achievements/ map 100% bonus can be redeemed on any character (but that would give the problem of claiming a bonus way over the level, and I don’t how they would avoid that).

Well, there are many things that could be done to make things easier for alts (or more grindy, meaning that quests will not be as present as in the first run).

But, having ideas is one thing, making than useful, not abusable, and actually work is another.

I dont like this idea. One thing that i would like though is maybe trading xp cards through team storage… its still xp you worked for and there is a lvl requirement on them, so its not like you can use high lvl xp cards on brand new characters.

But then my low level character (who I only play with my friend) will outlevel all the content.
