Chaplain off-hand "C" attack questions

Hi all,

I have a few questions hopefully someone know the answer.

I am currently a Chaplain using Five Hammer with 5 red gems, with arde dagger as offhand.

Questions:

  1. As a chaplain, do you attack with Z or C? Dagger definitely attack faster, but do all the gems in your main-hand benefits your C attack?

  2. Do I gain +5 AoE from Five Hammer if I attack using dagger?

  3. What gems do you recommend for offhand? I supposed red gem in dagger work the best compared to other (maybe except crit gem)?

  1. if your target is plate, use z. if your target is leather, use c. and yes

  3. red gem is all around. chaplain benefit the most because it’s also increase your max. M.atk

Just going to correct you on this one. Offhand Red gem is strictly physical attack bonus. So no it will not increase his M.atk. That being said, as a Chap Red gems for Offhand is better than the others, unless you are Spr based and have Krivis circle with Zalciai. If you are then Green Crit gem would be better.

Btw, does one crit a lot with no dex but simply crit gem + zalciai?

Well depends on how your crit rate is. From my own experience, I crit 10-15% of the time. Mind you my stats are:

1 level 4 crit gem on offhand
no dex
Zalciai shreds all crit resistance an enemy has (due to my Spr)

I haven’t invested in trying to get crit.
So with some better investment you can bring your crit up way higher than mine

  1. c is a bit faster (especially when buff quicken on)
    z have wider range than c
    as chaplain u just use z or c depend on target armor type

  3. red but it’s doesn’t important bcoz i have low effect in for chaplain auto attack

i usually go with offhand without gem
maybe blue or red gem on shield that i’m already have and trade from my other char
red gem for main hand
i always carry 2 off-hand and switch between them depend on situation
i have blue gem ledas, red gem arde(my chronomancer using this), green gem arde(at chaplain now)
mostly usually stick with ledas

off-hand red gem doesn’t have big effect for chaplain
it’s just add another 100ish damage to first line
with 5k each swing, 100damage increase is just 2% extra damage
as chaplain u should focus on properties headgear first
try to get highest totally, and mostly focus on holy properties

i used to crit a lot before zalciai minus cri resist fixed (full spr)

As did I, but sadly it was nerfed.
(Been playing this game since ICBT)
