Hi guys, I was wondering if chaplain is worth the late game? Did the damage really hit monsters 280+? And if not, what is the status indicated, INT or SPR? Thanks
Let me tell you from my experince. I’m currently lv 279 with SPR build, the damage falls off hard on late game. Valia mace is one thing but still falls off especially if you’re not fighting ghost or demon type.
Int chaplain is stronger than SPR. If you rely on auto attacks and have blessing, SPR wins in a very small margin than INT. while INT is slightly weaker, it will boost your magnus exorcimus and other magic skills.
Er not really this actually depends on what your choice for R7 , R8
if your choice is to support DPS/ Status removal ( PD1,2)
Int with ratio to SPR will do better than Full INT or Full SPR.
Since it does offer you DAMAGE not neglecting party dps support. (blessing stone skin etc).
If your choice inquistor then you are fine with more towards INT.
Any way with a pro supportive build (priest 3) you will need to invest in SPR a little or your stone skin will be of waste where it is infact one of the best physical damage mitigation tool even in R8
But as of now all the supportive spells are already decent. R8 is basically a overhaul for Clerics to even overwhelm Wizards with so much AOE and support damage etc.
I have a full SPR C2-P3-Chap-Ora-Inqui got it to 315 (got cards left to bring it to 330) no issues with R8 content. Extremely defensive and party-loving at its finest.
Reset it to full INT and now wrecking even more sh*t than before
Equipped with non-potato gears but very achievable.
+10 Catacombs Club (Stage 2 Trans, 2x Lv6 Red Gems, +25 Holy Awake)
NOT SAYING THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO GO ABOUT IT.
You really will make your own experience based on your choices and what you think is within your reach.
Speaking of that have you tried out the 90 spr rings? Lol. those ring x2 is a little disgusting though abit hard to keep up with the upkeep…
Haven’t, I did add in quite a bit of TP lately, but I used it for straight up cosmetics (eyes, hair color and hairstyles).
I don’t wanna touch the gacha, too many flashbacks of my DN days.
(I spent roughly 4800+ SGD there in mostly Altea [Gacha] Boxes).
Jesus that reminds me of myself back then too lol… (for other games)
Yes gacha is addictive and a phobia =w=
anyway OP.
Chapalins are fine actually. Just FYI.
IMC broke capella again no idea when that will be fix. magnus is actually quite decent on high INT/Magic Attack.
ASP attack buff (using damage base on aspersion). It will get stronger ( i am dealing like 3k~ 7k) depending on target weakness to holy.
Well as POV i am a PD2 so i rarely use it unless i am close enough to deal additional DPS.
If they are bringing the weakness triple damage from holy from KTOS over to ITOS (i think they eventually will) Last rite + sacrament combo ( 1 point) will be extremely OP.
INT full is fine so is SPR full ultimately depends on what you are picking on R7 R8 or whichever kind of party role you are filling up
Not sure if R9 they will come out with a SPR scaling class… so… or else you can just bank your buck with higher tier damage class where stats don’t really matter due to the fact the base damage of higher tier class is so high ( power creep is there).
Final chime in on topic though, for TS, I strongly disagree with the bulk of people stating that Chaplain [falls off hard] back in R7, even more so in R8. I feel that these people didn’t bother to gear their Chaps enough and ultimately it felt lacking to them.
Do note that it is still mostly self-supporting, so it’s not really intended to be an OP-burster ala [Get in, Get off, Get out] kind of gameplay. It’s no slow burn either.
Even more so now with more class choices you can take and potential builds + the flurry of item mix-and-matching you can do will determine the minutia of your final character.
Hi DiMeowgio
I have a similar build to you and currently still in rank 7
I would like to ask something. and my reply before is due to lacking information and scalling aspersion to boost my AA is bad so hence I said “my experience”.
I will be grateful if you can answer these 3 questions to help boosting aspergillium damage:
- I didn’t took aspersion at all because I think it’s wasting skill points. But if I take attribute aspersion enchance damage, will it increase my Aspergillium damage?
- In terms of weapon, I compared a clean catacomb club with valia. I noticed that when with valia, all my holy skills increased damage. so do you think I should upgrading my valia or catacomb?
- Red gems vs blue gems, which one do you prefer for heavy AA build?
Hi sure, I’ll be happy to impart my experience to you

Aspergillium damage?
[/quote] I’m honestly on the fence about this one, I feel like it works even with Lv0 Aspersion, so long as you have the attribute. I am currently at Lv1 Aspersion with Lv80 attribute because I’m rather not too sure about it
Here’s the exact build I am using.
Weapon wise, it’s tricky. I say this because I used to have a +10 Valia with 3x Lv6 Red Gems (pre-boost / +24 dmg instead of +240) before I changed to +10 Catacombs.
Right now I feel that +8/9/10 Valia with 3x Lv6 or higher Red Gems would actually be better for me.
Upgrades on current maces only improve physical attack, for me, getting +10 was mostly for achievement points.
Then there’s transcending, if you are INT heavy (like I am), waiting for the Lv315 Magical maces is well worth it.
As for gems, as you may have noticed, Red is my go to because it works for both maximum magic and maximum physical. I have a shield as my Secondary Weapon and it has Blue Gems in it
Do take note that your R8 option may heavily favor other gems.
I will answer the question 1 for you. Yes level 0 aspersion is counted as level 1 for aspergillium. Attributes will work even if it’s level 0.
Sames goes to capella. Deploying capella with level 0 monstrance will provide level 1 monstrance for capella.
thank you for your reply you two
…it’s one more step to my brainstorming.
My build is heavy SPR and while I asked around, some people recommend me to switch INT for better damage but I have a fixed mindset Supporting>DPS
Although, with such ToS mechanics, I feel like offensive is the best defense and thus I begin to question I should boost my damage as well and there goes my dilemma
yeah, R8 is pretty confusing
. I am leaning towards to Miko and I don’t mind waiting . But I will have to wait for information before deciding it or inquis instead and I do read about Malleus Maleficarum will enchance magics damage which is fitting for supporting and dealing damage.
Defensive is mostly for “party content towards TSC” etc. like the places where monsters really hit hard unless you have mitigation etc.
For example Priest/Sage is a godsend in TSC 2-4 due to Heavy archer spiral arrows.
Priest is actually extremely useful in ET as well. Against all physical monsters.
Well this kind of party contents is little and most of them upon doing once is fine… soo… it’s kinda unrewarding like what you mentioned as a supportive spec.
Can’t be helped. Offense is also one of the best defense at time. Since killing mobs fast/ ending them fast will negate additional damage to you. lol. Let’s hope at least R9 will go back to the standard clerics. Since all the DPS variant cleric is boosted at R8
True. I have an ET party with my guildies and that’s where I feel mostly useful
but when on normal grinding or saalus, crystal mine and dungeons, Cleric DPS can carry out the party and finish faster than having me around
I think I can boost my damage further with additional holy element attack. I’ll try to look about this and try to do the math when I have time.
Thanks again for your advices.
Guys noob priest here I’m already cleric2>priest3, not planning to take chaplain, is chaplain mandatory? I’m going for oracle miko and kabba/krivis and is 100 SPR enough for stone skin and blessing?
Thanks for the answers of all, I was thinking of going in INT complete, I like being the healer type hahaha I was going to PD2 and I did not want to totally depend on PD2 and I was in doubt about the chap if it is good even high levels even with the Magnus, I’m going to miss the full stone skin SPR
but ok, I will not bet on inqui because despite having a magic skill we do not know the R2 and the class seems to be very focused on STR paladins, so I do not trust too much
