I just wondering can dragoon change weapon after Gae Bulg? 2HS (Gae Bulg) > S&S
Most likely, I dont see anything in tooltip that refrains you from swapping weapons after using the skill.
Even when the 2HS still on the ground?
I am not certain, but logically it wouldn’t force you to pick it up right?
That is what im confuse with. If we didnt pick it up, can we change weapon? lol
from the game logic it says decrease amount of atk by the atk of the weapon.
so you will be able to change weapon, but damage still decrease till you pick it up.
shield also use the same logic if your shield is thrown the physical defense is decrease by the shield defense value.(but it will not decrease the block rate so if your shield is like only +1 block rate, there is no point to pick it up).
edit2. eww sorry it was spear throw mechanics not the gale bulg.
the gale bulg says that you “must” pick it up to use it.
that’s mean you can swap weapon, but cannot use the thrown one untill you pick it up.
Im assuming by “to use it” you are referring to the spear and not the weapon swap 1hand shield combo. So logically you should not be hindered, example Spartan warriors from a few pictures on google I saw that most of them (not from 300 movie) have had 1 handed sword a shield and a spear equipped at a given time. I know devs might have not looked at it realistically, but its just an example. Lets say said warrior throws his spear and someone is charging him and the spear is too far away during an important phase during a fight, would you expect him to just fist punch the enemies? Or swap to said 1 handed weapon and shield? I will say this, If you can not weapon swap during gae bulg’s weapon throw effect I think it would be retarded.
