Chance of Making +15 Equipament

I made a table to see how easy was to get a equipment to +15, because as you can see after Forge Level 10 the chance of success is 51%, it turns out I was wrong and i wanted to share.

When the Upgrade Fails the weapon loses one Potential and one Forge level.

… in relation to some other games out there, where getting +15 is like an -10^8 or something haha.

@Garrnett Low probablility is a better money sink then giant numbers, makes it easier for more people. And more money mean better money sink.

If you have infinity time the chance is 100%, with money only is 99.9%.

will it glow like those cheap chinese p2w mmo?

i hope so… after that much rng the weapon need to grind by itself to repay the costs. A high level weapon can cost up to 400k for a single upgrade.

but i dont want glowing weapons. i find them ugly. i usually put non glow weapon costume on those game with glowing +XX weapons upgrades.

Simple probability equation from statistics. Keep multiplying the percentage and you will get the next tier’s probability.

What’s the does the Chance of Reaching mean? :cold_sweat:
Didn’t played in cbt1 but will be playing cbt2 so i want to know.

Of course, exemple:

The Math
From +7 to +8 the chance of sucess is 68%;
But the chance to reach +7 is 68,6%;
So the chance to reach +8 is 68,6*(68/100).

The chance of 68% is applied after the 68,6%, because you have to reach +7 to try +8.

100% = always upgrade

50% = may or may not be upgraded

00.48% = pray to RNG gods

so that means even if you succeed doesn’t mean you’ll reach the next refine level? :no_mouth:

With weapon enhancement once you fail it gets reset back to +0 (or so I heard). So chance of reaching is the chance of continuously getting a success till you reach that forge level. Chance of success is literally chance of success

For example if we use a coin toss and heads and tails:
chance of reaching 1 heads: 50% (possible results - H, T)
chance of reaching 2 heads in a row: 25% (possible results - HH, TH, HT, TT)
chance of reaching 3 heads in a row: 12.5% (possible results - HHH, HHT, HTT, HTH, TTT, THH, THT, TTH)
etc.

I am fairly certain that items to drop back to 0. There is a ‘safe limit’ where they only drop by 1 instead. I forget the exact numbers, will try to find,

edit: Maybe I’m incorrect. Could’ve sworn there was something like that though. Will have to test once beta launches!

No longer drop back to 0 as the item, once it ran out of potential i.e. 0/2, will break if it fails the + process.
