So can i change weapows after taunts enemies? Can i aggro with a shield and than change to two-handed spear to dps like a dragoon?

I think that build is outdated and author probably quit.
Look into a build with rank 8 at least.
Yes you can, it just that after you change to 2h spear, swash buckling buff will disappear -> only change to 2h spear after all mobs gather in one place, or just use 1h spear all the way ( I really like 2h spear, but 1h spear is just to good/convenient when grinding, so I only use 2h when bossing)
If you play Cata 3, you can consider Pelt 2>Cata3>Dragoon2 instead of the standard Pelt1>Hop1>Cata3>Dragoon2
