Censored Memos in Crafted Items

So the other day I crafted my manamana. I wanted to customize it a bit for my own reasons lol

Anyways this is what ended up happening.

  1. The item in my inventory has no flagged characters (*).
  2. Linking the item to show someone else will show censored characters.

Original message would be: "Developed by the Vanhites to kill mages.“
When linked and viewed in chat” “Developedyheanhite*o kill mages.”

I don’t understand why it was censored in such a way…

Although it is probably not a top priority thing for IMC, I do hope this can be fixed at some point.

Honestly it would’ve been nice if they could’ve given a warning before crafting that you had censored characters in your memo or something lol

I agree. But untrained players often end up having to type entire discussions multiple times for saying “class” cl ASS in a sentence. lol

LOL that sounds like me =D

The memo censorship makes no sense. It censors tons of things that aren’t even close to profane, nor are those same sentences censored in the chat window. It’s a totally broken tool they’re using.

Speaking from experience playing MMOs with horribly retarded chat filters, I can safely say that this worthless, frustrating and tedious chat filter is going to exist until the day the servers close down officially.

I have never seen a case personally where an MMO dev fixed up a terrible chat filter.

Yeah sometimes a space followed by a letter will warrant censoring LOL

You are probably right unfortunately

I tested various scenarios by crafting dummy items since I messed up my manamana (RIP 6m)

There are so many situations where censroship is wierd as heck.

If there is anything deemed profane, linking an item in party chat will actually completely censor your link and have you display ** instead of the item in party chat.

I guess Koreans hate space. Maybe they have a huge grudge against NASA.
