CDR healer - comments appreciated!

Hi guys! I made this build with tower defensed style gvg in mind, though it also might work well for grinds in a lure setting. The role of this cleric would be to hide behind everyone else and protect the ranged/squishies from melee aggressors. She’s a bit of a one trick pony, but maybe she’ll work!

Link here x3

She won’t have any solo capabilities (not that I can see because rofl skills) so she’ll rely heavily on a friend (or two) to help with the grind. I would like some help with R2 and R5 choices.

Cleric 2 > Dievdirvy 2 > Pardoner > Oracle

Cleric 2 for level 10 Heal, 5 Cure (I’m not sure if this will be used often), 5 Safety, 5 Deprotected Zone, 5 Divine Might (seems OP)
Choice: Going Priest 1 instead of Cleric 2 for Blessing, Resurrection, and Monstrance.

Dievdirvy 2 for 10 laima statue, 5 Austras Koks, 5 carve, 5 owl, 5 Vakarine. I didn’t put any points in Zemyna because I hear you could only have 1 statue up at a time, in which case I’d prefer laima for CDR. Austras for the silence, and owl for non gvg activities

Pardoner because why not! Other choice would be Dievdirvy 3 for Statue of Ausrine. I’m not sure how that will work atm since the TOSbase doesn’t exactly tell you how long the buff lasts and how many hits it’ll take before dissipating.

Aaaand Oracle because she’s pretty. Since I’m already nabbing the Laima statue I figured the CD for Death Sentence might be lower slightly. I’m also hoping that as level for DS goes up, the countdown til death decreases. Here’s to hoping!

I just wanna end up oracle and still have some fun getting there ;w;

You can have more than one statue up at a time. Not sure if certain statues conflict withe each other though. I’ve seen Dievdirvy put up several statues in a few pvp videos on youtube.
As for the build, I dunno how well Deprotected Zone will work in gvg considering you can see it. Unless you can lock the people in the area or place it in a spot they can’t get around, I don’t think people are going to walk into it or if you cast it on top of them they’ll probably try to get out of it quick enough, imo. You might be better off putting pts into safety zone or switching to priest for resurrection instead. If you’re going for INT then your heals will probably be strong enough at level 5 anyways.

I have similar goals for my char. Let’s share some thoughts:

  1. Skill and Stat resets will likely be available and for now it looks like they will be relatively cheap. Exact skill/stat progression might therefore not be as important as class progression.

  2. The reason to go diev 3 is not to get the statue of Ausrine, which might not work in PvP at all. It is to get max rank, and therefore uptime (notice the loooooong cooldowns) of Lamia (~Magic strings) and Austras (~Classical Pluck). This is assuming divine might still allows you to go above max level, as it does now (but we should know this by the time we need to make rank5 choice). Pardoner only offers tier 2 Cure … which might be worth it, depends on what counts as ‘abnormal state 2’.

  3. Safety zone (safety wall) is super strong in pvp and I believe should be maxed. It is likely the most important cleric PvP skill.

@Raven: I’ve only started watching PVP videos on YouTube to get a feel for how much movement there will be. From the looks of arena, there’s a ton of movement and not enough standing around! I still need to do a ton more digging.

I’m making my way through Steparu’s videos and he carves 2 Owls a lot - Dievdirby has an attribute for that, I believe. He sometimes drop Austras Koks - does this skill negate any magic attacks that hit the area?

You may be right about Deprotected Zone being not as useful, in which case I can just dump those points into Safety Zone or reroll Priest. Maybe that is an overkill given the situation.

@Crow_mw: I’m letting my choice in skills build my class progression. The trade off between Cleric 2 and Priest was a tough choice for me, especially since the GvG feature isn’t even available yet! A major question I have about this unreleased feature is, would there be a respawn at base option, or insta-respawn outside the war map? In the first scenario, if the battle is going on strong a resu can be beneficial in changing the way the battle goes. In the second scenario, resu would be rather useless if they disappear before I can even cast the spell.

Good point on bringing up max level Lamia and Austras, I didn’t think of looking at Dievdirby 3 that way (my mind is elsewhere).

Thank you both for your input  I’m always up for more discussion if need be!

So quick question.

If i understand this correctly, the classes function like a linear tree as in if you roll Priest then you have to go Dievdirbys and you can’t go Priest —> Bokor right?

Or are you not locked to an linear advancement path?

Here you go bro http://www.tosbase.com/tools/class-builder/. Try it and see for yourself, if you want to see the skills per class rank. Try the skill builder it’s under tools.

I also wonder about the tier 2 choice, but I think ultimately cleric 2 has better synergy with Dievdirbys.

  1. You can give yourself divine might for +5 skill levels on your statues
    • This is assuming they don’t remove going above the max level.
    • If GvG includes prolonged, large scale fights, guilds might run dedicated cleric3 for you, but likely you will often need to cast it on your own.
  2. Higher level safety wall protects you, when you just sit there like a duck, sculpturing.
  3. Priest buffs are nice, but likely there will be people with priest 2 available, who went Sabdu. Moreover priest buffs will be available via scrolls. Resu will likely not work (does it in current 5v5 arena?), and even if it did - you can’t do everything, and cleric 2 has more to offer to diev.

From my understanding, each tier presents you with up to 3 choices: your current class (you can only upgrade it to a max of 3) and the two classes for that tier.

The link Shnookums provided will demonstrate it better, but you can definitely go Priest --> Bokor

You just can’t go back (Cleric --> Priest --> Cleric) or pick another class from the same tier (Cleric --> Priest --> Krivis).

Unlocking tier 2 of the same class grants you higher level skills and more advanced skills. I hope this helps!

Yes this is very comprehensive and in depth.

Thank you!

I’ve heard Revive and Resurrection won’t be available via scrolls. In any case, it seems that Revive might be available as a buff in GvG since it is available in PvP. Source!

I do think Revive would be the preferred resurrection method as it’s a preventative measure. Resurrection has a longer cast time and leaves the caster more vunerable in the battle front. In this case, having two healers in the hypothetical nuke squad may be useful - a Cleric 2/Dievdirby3 for cdr and a Cleric/Priest2/Sabdu for Revive.

How many people can be in one squad/team/party?

Revive can’t be turn into scroll? Awww that sux! I was planning pardoner2 to make and sell scroll. (And yes for crafting scrolls alone. Haha)

Selling revive scrolls couldve been a potential gold mine!

It’s all still just speculation! I’m just passing the information I’ve heard from other threads

However, it does seem like other skills (not just Cleric’s) can be passed via scroll - like a Paladin’s smite. Source!

It could be from an older Beta test, so it may or may not hold true now. It’s the only source I can find regarding only Cleric skills being scrollable ;^;

You also might not be able to sell Revive in the shop. >___< I can’t find any official information about either of those two rumors though, just word of mouth.

Interesting information,

I plan on rolling with Cleric which is why this thread caught my attention initially.

Do you know any places that have good guides for builds on Pardoners?

If i understand correctly, every 15 levels = a new rank,correct?

It’s every 15 job level, not every 15 base level. The job leveling system is similar to RO, where the job level is different from your base level. The EXP bar for your job level is on the bottom right of the screen while the EXP bar for your normal level is on the bottom left. Correct me if I’m wrong!

Use this tool! It accidentally became my waifu the past few days when I started to craft a few classes.

As for Pardoner only builds…This build!

The downside is that it spreads itself really thin across all classes, and it is possible that not all the skills are scrollable/shoppable. Another option is to focus on one type of service, like this for Heal 15 scrolls or this for Blessing 15 buffs.

Just be aware that these builds are difficult to build because you don’t do a lot of damage compared to other classes. Just have a friend who’s willing to leech you.

Problem you can’t get heal 10 if you go Priest. You wouldn’t get Aspersion to increase defense???
You might need the warp statue if people run out of warp scrolls.
30 seconds statue, Invincibility and all they have to do is run around 3 times running like a silly person, but yes I personally like Pardoner.
Looks like you planned this out real nicely.
Considering I’m not sure if the owl statue is physical damage base.

I noticed that Resurrection has a strong knockback in PvE. I wonder if that’s any useful as a crowd control in PvP? At lvl 5, it has 2 seconds casting time which may be enough in some circumstances.
