CBT 101 - How to make a sucessfull Closed Beta

Hello

Welcome to CBT 101, now we are going to learn, how to do a CBT event.

-1st giveaway some CBT invites (keys)
-2nd make sure your server can hold all players you invited
-3rd Just don’t make a weird error message, we all know your server is full
-4th Try to respect your players, I know it is “just a closed beta” but first impressions are important

Best regards

5th - Communicate with the players in the forums once every few days and not every 5 weeks or more and say whats going on… (just in general, not regarding the beta)

  1. they already have given away 150k+. You missed your chance then too bad.
2)It is >>>>>>BETA<<<<<<<<<<<<. They need to do stress test of the servers and test how the servers handle with X amount of users.
3)It is a weird error message to you, not to them.
4)I don’t know one time they weren’t respectful. Maybe you should be respectful to them.

5)developers are not community managers. They spend most of their time coding and working on changes. They should not relay changes that happen every day because of how often things change. Every month is a good enough update.

I don’t see how we are being disrespected…or rather why this thread even exist x.x

So we should praise them for seeking profits? That sounds retarded. I don’t care about not being able to play, but atleast give some proper excuses and tell us in a formal way what is happening. This is very irresponsible, even for a company looking for a global place.

People should know what’s the point is for testing period.
You can found 1 and 2 in OBT where everything is ready.

So basically entitled people doing what entitled maggots do best, complain about the dumbest crap without an inch of reasoning or logic going through their heads.

Great.

Well good companies have things they post every few days to keep the hype and spirit up. It does’t have to be what there working on. It could be some new artwork. things that are in the game that people don’t know etc.

If you look at successful games with great player communities the devs and community managers are active on the forums and keep up to date.

ex// Path of Exile community. It’s flawless and one of the best dev/community manager/player bases around. One of the reasons is because the community managers and devs post every day.

I do have a CBT key and I won’t waste my time with douchebags trying to offend me, they are just being bootlickers

My first impression of IMC = “They don’t care about their players, not even to clarify what if going on and this is an AMATEUR CBT so far”

Please don’t be another TRINO

Best regards

So bloody what if you have a CBT key? Do you even understand what CBT means? If you did, you wouldn’t be acting the way you are now, yet here you are, complaining as if you spent money on ToS.

Entitled maggot fits you quite perfectly.

You are a joke, you should choose between being a bootlicker or “complaining as if you spent money on ToS”

Less than 24 hours of CBT2 and apparently we all know whats in stored for this whole month of testing. Forums full of Oracles and definitely not self entitled privileged kids…

I’m already lvl 56 mate , not sure what you’re crying about.

I’m a joke? Look at yourself mate, you’re having a fit over something you got FOR FREE which is also in a beta phase, which is also trying to keep up with the original version that we don’t normally see until a couple years later.

You’re one giant ass spoiled brat you know that.

You know I’m glad you’re having problems, you don’t deserve to play ToS anyway.

They handle the launch very neatly and I’m very satisfied even though there’s some errors ( inevitable at any BETA )

I have seen worst. Probably most of us here experienced worst beta tests for a free to play.

Your’e probably one of those guys who spam and rants at the first three hours of the game because you can’t login :stuck_out_tongue:

I would pay for a founder’s pack like I do in another games but luckly they havent it here, otherwise we would see alot of refunds.

I complain when it doesnt work, its better know when a process is broken then having 2 or 3 fanboys saying everything is alright
