Is this build good?

A few things I’m unsure of:

  1. Pelt - Should I split points between Umbo and Rim Blow or is it OK to just go with maxing Umbo?

  2. Hop - Is Sync Thrusting good?

  3. Hop - Should Spear Lunge be maxed or is lv.1 enough for the debuff?

  4. Hop - Between Stabbing and Pierce, which one is better maxed?

  5. Squire - I have 14 unused points as I don’t know where to put it. I took lv.1 Arrest for situational use (e.g. against mission/dungeon bosses). I’ll probably be able to max Repair as soon as I hit R7 so I might not give a damn about leveling this char anymore after that. XD Maxing Weapon Maintenance seems nice too though.

My first character in tos is a sw1 pelt3 squire3… took me a month to be rank7 225. Being a total noob and all:sweat_smile::laughing:

And my cata just took me 1 week to be r7…

So your a weapon repair shop

Me is a weapon maintenance shop. I serve whole klapedia city ch1 all by myselfšŸ¤—

I think hoplite is faster to level solo than pelt3. But pelt 3 has lvl15 swash…and I can make her to murmillo r8.

I don’t really intend to level him further. I will likely stop as soon as I hit max lv.15 Repair. Maybe a few more levels for Weap. Maintenance, but that’s all there is. XD

Thanks for your input! Already started on the Pel Hop2 route.

Once you hit r7. Squire 3. You can already max weapon maitenance and repair…

  1. Max umbo. You can put 1 point in rim blow
  2. Synchro is so so, problem is it only works with shield, and you want arde while leveling
  3. 1 spear lunge
  4. Either is fine. I choose pierce because it’s safer, cannot be interrupted like stabbing
  5. Just max repair and weapon maintenance. If you want to reach R8, base camp + food table is the next choice

I’m with this guy in everything except pierce vs stabbing. Use your lounge and stabbing after pain barrier. Stabbing scales better than pierce and is your main boss/high HP monster killer, also good for mobbing if you position yourself well.

I have a hop 3, stab is the best hoplite skill, talking about damage

Currently, sw3>cata3>corsair1 lvl 228, should i card until lvl 240? or maximize grinding spots?

Lucky bastard. Best I got so far was a Tomb Lord Card.

Save your cards.

Do all quests, monster kill counts, missions, dungeons and dailies at merc post as much as you can. At 240 you will have access to 240 dungeon which should easily bring you to 250 in just a few days.

I’m currently 249 and already have enough cards to shoot myself up to 264 if I want. I’ll probably use them once I run out of quests and kill counts to do and maps to explore.

I’m not in a hurry to get to 275-277 anyways so daily missions should help increase my level bit by bit while we wait for R8.

When you tank but become top DPS anyways :joy:

A few of the good matches I had earlier.

I knew I can’t go 1v1 against YugiMori (lesson learned, he’s wrecked me badly before) with his max level, overups and likely high-level attributes so I stood behind and just backed my team up and let them deal with him — Dark Theurge is a bitch to swordsmen everywhere hahaha

I just kited him with Rush when I can (or waited out when he has just finished using his Rush) and focused on his other teammates. Cata v Cata is always fun though - the chasing, the ā€œwhoever impales whom firstā€, etc. It’s like a DBZ battle lmao

Against 2 PDs & 3 Archers. Revive from our Priest3 Oracle proved really handy in this situation as it provides brief invulnerability once consumed. Enemy had no Diev/ausrine so a quick Rush was all we needed to hold them in place and consume their Revive as well while the rest of my team immediately took control of the center of the arena - anyone who goes out just dies from poison or broadhead. Chrono drops freeze/stop, and I finish them once Rush is ready again. Safety zone? Impale gets the job done.

When 1 afk isn’t enough to make you lose, they give you 2 <.<

I just noticed now. Wow, looks like he got temporarily banned/restricted or something, or he deleted his account? Hope not.

On a different note, it just crossed me a few minutes ago, an idea that might give swordsman a bit of a fighting chance against magic wielders…

What if Pain Barrier has an attribute that converts p.def into m.def for the skill duration?

Ratio could be 1 PDef : 1 MDef or 2:1 (since p.def is useless against magic anyways). Since it’s an attribute, it can be turned on/off depending on the enemy setup.

What do you guys think?
