Yeah, I think I’m gonna pump up my CON to 60 and see how that works for me. Anyways, I’m still 208 so I’ll probably hit 25k HP when I get to 280 with just 50 CON?
On a different topic, I won’t name him but this top-ranking wiz player I’ve played with and against seems to be using some sort of zoom out (addon or file edit, whatever he did) and before the fight he tells the team what the enemy composition is.
Someone in another thread told me to press F4 while in TBL to show the team composition but that doesn’t seem to do anything except bring up the usual adventure index. I think I just got trolled lol
So yeah, as if things weren’t balanced enough, and they still had to used exploits. Psssh, some people.

F4 opens the adventure journal.
Then go to Team Battle League
Then go to Join Team Battle League
Then go to spectate
There is your match-up.
If you cant see it, its because there are 2 other matches just matched up after yours and you cant scroll down t yours.
Hmm. I uped my earth wave attribute recently. I got a lot of kills using my lvl 16 earth wave haha. 1 time it killed 3 at the same time. Luck I guess haha

What is better Earth wave 15. Doom spike 9 and trot 15 or earth wave 14. Doom 10 and trot 15 or should i skip 1lv of trot?
You can skip impale entirely if you’d only want to do PVE (which likely you won’t since PVP is very tempting for Cata3).
If you get Iv.1 impale, between E.Wave and D.Spike you will want to max E.Wave instead and take a point off from D.Spike. The reason for this is that:
- E.Wave has a wider AOE radius. D.Spike on the other hand is very tricky to land in the correct direction (straight line compared to E.Wave’s circular AOE).
- E.Wave has faster cooldown. You almost cast E.Wave twice with every one D.Spike.
- E.Wave has an attribute to make it an elemental attack (Earth) which is really effective against classes with low-to-none earth property resistance and magic defense.
- E.Wave has 4 AOE atk ratio compared to D.Spike’s 3.
TLDR: Go E.Wave 15, D.Spike 9, Impaler 1, Trot 15. If you think you need Steed Charge (which is crappy at the moment) for extra CC, then take another point off D.Spike.

We should probably ask them to lower the SP cost of Impaler and increase the aoe ratio and hitbox when you’re dealing damage. Maybe add a “minimum amount of hits” on the Impaled target.
I got some replies for the Rush bugs, they said they’ll “forward this issue to our development team for further review and investigation” and sorry for the inconvenience.
Also told them about Subzero Shield being completely unfair, asked for increased hitbox on doom spike and some other stuff.
I just want faster animation for impaler when slamming. Right now I never slam it, just pierce then run back to team

About subzero shield, I’m waiting for them to change it to expire after a certain amount of hits, and lower freeze chance to 20-30% in PvP
How about if they allowed us to use other skills while Impaler is up. Imagine a mofo with a stick up his ass being twirled around with Rush, hitting other mofos. Hahaha.
To balance, perhaps reduce the damage of other kills to half while Impaler is active?
I can see Cata3s solo-wrecking 2v2 TBL with this though (impale one, rush the other). XD

I think subzero shield should just be changed into something else completely tbh. The chance of being completely CC locked for only hitting someone once is pretty insane. Having 1 skill that can potentially shut down every Swordsman class is silly.
Maybe they can replace the Freeze with a Slow effect.
xD I wish concentrate also gave accuracy that scaled with STR. So I wouldn’t need all this DEX that’s useless vs full CON mages.
^ so much this. Meanwhile, wiz can just go full CON, tank our rush, and still wreck us completely.
How about rework Concentrate to give %increase in accuracy at the cost of lowered evasion (since IMC loves giving debuffs to our skills anyways)? Doesn’t matter even if it’s an equivalent exchange. Could rework the skill entirely for it or add it as an attribute.
This could make STR CON builds better and very viable, and the stats for the Swordsman class less spread out in general. This also strikes balance between different builds when it comes to taking either Gung Ho (for DEX/crit/eva builds) or Concentrate (for high STR builds) if ever.
I’d trade my evasion any day for more accuracy to hit high evasion archers since it doesn’t help me with magic anyways and we have P. Barrier. This will allow me to invest the supposed points on DEX into other stats (e.g. STR, CON).
There used to be a bug that allow you to do that, and frankly it’s quite OP. Imagine impale then Rush + Stabbing. You are guaranteed to kill anyone with that.

Anyone a Dragoon here? How’s Gae Bulg’s aiming? Is it really that bad?
I prefer to use mouse mode by the way. Will it be worse for me if I ever go Dragoon and pick that skill up? I really like its burst though.
I was told you throw your spear a fixed distance away from your character.
So you pretty much have to make sure you’re a certain distance away from what you’re trying to hit and make sure you’re facing it’s direction.
It’s burst seems pretty meh tbh. Especially since you have to go pickup your spear afterwards if you want to follow up on damage.
You’ll notice many persons choose not to get the skill or just put 1 point into it.
Oh man, that’s clunky as f*ck then. I hope they improve the throwing mechanic.

As I get 200+, I’ll see if more STR will make significant difference. For cata, I won’t settle down with less than 27k HP. Honestly, I want no less than 30k HP but I still need to hit things and hit hard (bypass block) and I’m not sure how much DEX and STR I need to achieve both.
I have some other do doughts:
Any catagroon experienced in pvp could explain me:
1-does gae bolg worth lv 5?
2 Is it good to kill that low hp enemies who are trying to escape?
3 what about dragon soar? Is it useful?Is it easy to land or hard like doom spike?
4 is serpertine useful like dragon tooth?
For me, nothing is set in stone yet, mainly because there are buffs incoming for swordsman. Like:
Concentrate:
- On top of the Regular bonus, Further damage given is now added to the calculation with the formula:
※ (STR * 0.04 + DEX * 0.02) * (Skill Lv - 1)
Restrain:
- Stun Chance effect: The chance for a stun to occur has been changed to 6% per Level. ( Previously 4% )
There are more changes planned like the unique armor for swordsman but we don’t have info on this yet.
They’re still trying to balance the stats, until I have more info, I’ll save my stat reset potion lol. Right now, it’s pretty much pick your poison, you’ll die anyway, there’s no optimum build yet unless it’s for doing a specific thing.
