I’m running 1:1 (wanted to do solo PVE as much as I can) but have decided to just cap my STR at 100 and dump the rest in DEX.
I’ve been missing a lot on high DEX archers that sometimes restrain+rush just can’t stunlock them in place.

i have around 180ish str, 23k hp without mount (Forgot con), 83 dex inside TBL. (normal play I am at 191 str, 153 con, 86 dex; all new level stat will be going to con… was originally the plan)
i dont go by the distribution method, i just go by enough. (goal was to make rush at least 1k per hit, but in TBL rush behave kind of bizzare… sometimes 500, sometimes 1700; DoV also make it harder to keep it consistent)
I only some time hit full dex archers, but they are still my favorite prey, since I still kill them with ease. I would see a few miss, but the restrain/rush lock + my dmg easily truck them over.
broadhead arrow is the Damage over Time skill from fletcher. 2.3k damage per tick (can go over 3k with attribute), tick twice per second, for 10+ sec. It is basically 1 shot kill unless a cleric cure it or heal u (or plague doctor immnue, or cleric buff block for you). Considered one of the OP skill from archers. It is basically the primary and only archer skill that really wreck cataphract (if we are lucky, we can run to cleric team mate; other class just eat it and die). I was hoping full dex cataphract might be able to dodge it or something, or a certain amount of dex allowing cata to dodge it.

cata dop is pretty dop
I go for double exp, cyclone, DoV.
cause I didn’t like what dragoon has for pvp.
duel one before I went rank 7, was unimpressed, then went and try the korean highest rank cata dop route (especially because no one on iToS seem to have try it at the time).

u can use it, but auto-dismount.
bash -> cyclone = death combo.
killed many cleric/wiz with it. Cyclone also my only option against cryo subzero shield, since the freeze resist work decently well.
i usually use it when rush+restrain on CD, and there are less people alive.

With Lancer, for R7 I’ll be learning towards either Dop (if Lancer has no 1h spear attribute) or Pelt (if it has).
I’m still undecided at this point though whether to go lancer or goon2 since we don’t have specific info regarding what numbers these classes bring. If I reach the level where I can already switch to R7 but R8s aren’t implemented yet, I think I’ll just continue leveling and decide later. Or maybe level an alt for the time being. Cata3 at R6 already kicks ass in TBL anyways.
For Dop, I like that I have DPE for PVE purposes and likely Mordschlag because it’s the only 3rd skill to max that can be used while mounted (I hate having to mount-unmount) and an additional to my knockdown arsenal with better damage (compared to bash).
Quick question: Does DoV still stack even when enemies miss on you?

I don’t believe DoV stack if miss, but not 100% sure.
I am close to 90% sure if I block, DoV don’t tick. I am pretty sure same case to miss, but not many things can miss me…

Not like that, just go test it and you’ll see the difference, kinda like how concentrate doesn’t change your stats but you get extra damage.
Or like how some skills have added crit rate attribute like double slash, your crit rate stat doesn’t change while using double slash skill but you see the difference.
I tested it on a priest using stone skin, compared my Brandish 1h spear and my Catacombs Pike 2h spear. I also put 2 glass bracelets on while using my Brandish, and my Pike still came out on top on number of hits that weren’t blocked. This was before the change to str tho, not sure if I’d get the same results.

hmm i have like 51 dex on my new cata, seems to work. went from never ever crit to some of the time xD. gotta keep in mind that it’s only like 35% chance or something.
I need to test on a full con build around my lvl to see how good it is though.
lol it crit twice out of 4 hits in TBL on a rank 7 archer, my newest cata is only rank 5 right now, but that archer was probably a glass cannon.
Just tested on some high hp mobs and there is a clear difference lol
with attribute got 10/18 crit hits
without i got 0/18
as a side note…having impaler more than lvl 1 is really nice, my newbie rank5 cata with lvl 6 impaler was doing 900s on a plague dr in TBL. I’ll try to close to max it and see how it goes, did more work than my earth wave for sure in that situation.
