Cataphract Problem With One-Handed Spear

Hello, I’m having a very specific problem, this is my situation:

swrd > pelt > Hopl > Cata C3
then I used the rank reset voucher and change hopl for pelt C2:
swrd > pelt C2 > Cata C3

To my surprise I ended with all my one handed spears being useless. I totally missed that if I don’t have Hoplite I don’t have the “use one-handed spear” attribute.

So, it’s probably my mistake for not having total awareness about all attributes, but I have no turn back. It is a problem because makes my gameplay uncomfortable, I can’t use cataphract skills and use shield at the same time without changing weapons.

so my main question to the community is:

it is a problem for you not having an attribute that allows you to use one handed spears being cataphract ? Catas can equip two handed spears, why not one handed ? Do you agree that the fact of taking Hoplite has to be a must for this situation ?

You can use 1h spear if you take Dragoon at R7-8. Only hoplites and dragoons have the 1h spear attribute AFAIK.

Lancer skills are 2h-spear exclusive. Dragoon is your best option at this point unless you like those exotic non-meta builds.

Dragoon is your only option at this point. If you want to go lancer i would reroll becuz you cant use shield.
