cataphract skills can only be used while you are mounted
the same applies for schwarzer reiter skills

To answers to the two questions from all the vids we can see on the net:
1- Every Skills can be used on a Mount (as long as the skills can be used by your weapon) > the only thing is that you canât move like doing them (except for cataphract skills that are the only skills that make you abble to walk while doing the skills)
2- You canât use cataphract skills while unmount (if it didnât get patched) > that is right now pretty sad 'cause we still donât know if you can have a mount into a centurion formation or not and that would make mounted skills become useless while playing with a centurion / while wanted to have centurion and cataphract in your build! ^^
So far from the videos Iâve seen you cant be in a Centurion formation while mounted. But also, you canât use skills while in a formation either. So it wonât really affect Cataphract skills since you canât use them anyway.
Well if we really canât do any skills into a formation it becomes pretty sad. I thought except for the auto attack formation you could still launch skills without going out of formation 
But if you cant use any skills in every formation itâs more for building some sort of âauto attack partyâ 
and the your centurion would be better with barbarian in his build than with hoplite it seems :x
