Cataphract Companion - Is trainning worth?

Hello everyone,

As a cataphract, should you train the companion or not? It seems a waste of money

As far as i know you get a % of your companion stats when you mount him.

just tested my damage without the companion active, with it standing by my side and mounted on it. same damage on all 3 tests.

Welp.
Guess it doesn’t make a difference.

I read somewhere that you were suppose to gain it’s stats.

I only tested the damage, maybe it boosts other stats?

Can give it a shot, did you check your HP/SP? mount and pop a potion to see if any change.

I’d like to hear more of this. I was supposed to be going for Cataphract but I changed my mind after hearing the news that centurion skills will not work while on mount.

HP at least works, I get almost 2k HP more while I’m riding.
Don’t think damage works, though. Don’t see any difference.

how much hp does your companion have? my hp does not change when I mount (even if I use a pot)

Around 6k HP and level 74 if that matters.
Do you keep it fed? I don’t think you get anything if its stamina is 0.

maybe thats the reason, i wasnt feeding it cause i was always mounetd, did not make a difference. now it seems reasonable to feed and train

Yeah, one of the game tips says that while you’re mounted a portion of the companion power is shared.

There seems to be nothing in the wiki about it, though. I would like to know the formula…
