my friend ask me for Cataphract build and i make that

Before I send the build to my friend i want to ask what you think its good build??
and what better the first one or the 2nd build??
(edit: my friend want pve and pvp build)

Well they’re both bad, you neglect several good buffs and skills in favour of situational skills.

Although since they haven’t been tested, it’s purely speculation.

Well I’m no expert neither played the actual game but based from just the skills on tosbase and videos of cat gameplays, I think lv1 impaler is enough then max earth wave because it has lower cd and greater dmg than impaler, lv1 steed charge is also enough then put the remaining stats on trot because higher trot means faster movespd and longer buff duration (i think lv15 trot = always on trot). I can say first build is much ok than second because having +15 dmg is not much help (you get more pierce and finestra buff but you will not benefit any block% if you 2h spear), build 2 has more stun chance because of restrain thou.

Impaler is pretty situational, it’s okay for drawing in mobs I suppose but it’s CD and damage just doesn’t warrant using it that often. Personally speaking of course, others might find a good use for it, it’s viability in PvP is yet to be definitive, but yeah I won’t take it for now.

After looking at the build, it got me thinking, this was the result.

I might actually go with this build instead.

I was thinking something very similar.
Only difference was going Swordsman-Swordsman-Hoplite-Cataphract2-Hoplite. Also, I only put 5 into Pain Barrier, and went for 5 in thrust.
