Cataphract and Rodelero

Can Cataphract use skills without the mount? (Which looks terrible)
Is Rodelero possible to use as a DPS class with CC?

First question: Nope, all cata skills require you to be mounted.
Second question: No idea.

I will answer the Rodelero question.

Yes, you can have a hybrid CC/DPS Rodelero but you need to take up an aggressive class before rolling to Rodelero for it to work. Do NOT roll Peltasta before going Rodelero if you want to make it decent DPS…literally every single Rodelero I run into were all Peltasta or Swordsman C3 and have crummy damage.

After getting STR and CON to 45 and 50, pump agility till 150. Once you hit this mark, pump STR. I took up Highlander C2 before going Rodelero and I hit like a macktruck…I can also use 2 handed swords as well. Rodelero itself has great CC ability with Montano and Shield Push… (causes people to turn around and counts as an interrupt while Montano hits hard and stuns while causing the target to spin multiple times). Target Smash hits like a champion and causes Blindness. Pair these with Barb C2, Hoplite C2, or Highlander C2, and you have a very solid class that can block and counter a lot of damage.

In duels, Montano > Cross Cut > Skyliner > Montano > Target Smash > Moulinet is a very angry combo.

Took forever to reply because uni and â– â– â– â– .
Thanks for the feedback, in game I was told that Rodelero players mentioned it being “The worst decision they made in their life”
Is it really that weak damage wise?
I was planning going Swordx3 and Rodelerox3

No. The only reason they say that is because they didn’t do the homework to figure out they needed to take up a DPS class before it. Rodelero is great for building a Bruiser or an Artful Dodger type CC/DPS Hybrid class and is more for PvP than anything else. It does kind of hurt in PvE but that’s why you take up a damage class like Highlander or Barbarian…or Hoplite…(or 2 of the 3) before going Rodelero. It teaches you how to Block, which is a nice alternative to Peltasta if you didn’t feel like getting that earlier. Montano is a nice stun attack and hits hard. Targe Smash causes AoE blindness. Shield Push drops defense but it seems to have a low success rate. Shield Shoving interrupts targets and causes them to turn around.

As a Rodelero who took up Highlander, I have zero qualms and all the attacks work very well together.
