My focus is entirely PVE content. I was thinking if it was better to go sword 2, hop1, cata3, and dragoon 3 instead of
sword 3, cata 3, dragoon 3.
What do you guys think? is Cata’s damage still too nerfed?
Cata damage even with new buff still bad. I would suggest sw2-hop2-cata2-dragoon3 if you want cavalry style for pve with 2h spear. Or even sw3-cata1.
Cata
You still get 10 level of Trot and you can still move around fast with Steed charge. Imo Cata3 is a waste in PVE and especially without Lancer. Rush doesn’t worth a rank in PVE.
Hop2
- For Spear Lunge
- For Pierce c2 attribute to follow up after Dragon Soar shock debuff. (Skill said bleeding but it should be shock as per patch note and ktos info. But I never test.)

I would still go for sw3cata3, max pb max gungho. It’s a generic build that has been tested through different metas. Dragoon 2 skill rotation is already fine as it is, making cata3 for mobile utility/knockdown.
