its the only reason why hoplite>cataphract in terms of dps
the one clear advantage cataphract have is variety of damage types
as you can see rush can deal very good damage against cloth, and pierce deal bad damage vs cloth (since imc won’t make anything like demonas/oghma for us spear users D:)

Hey just wondering, wouldn’t the cata build be insane with drag 2 then? Since serpentine increases ALL melee damage by 100%, wouldn’t rush just rip things into pieces?

hello, i’d like to know if both of these builds are viable with a full dex status set up. could you answer me that please?
you should always have at least 50-80 con minimum on a melee character, and yes dex is definitely a great stat allocation now, both my cata lancer and my hoplite dragoon are full dex and make great damage.

@DieHardLancer so for a cata whether you take d2 or lancer you will still take d1 right?
I have a hopd2 so im thinking about making my cata go lancer for something fresh. Though dethrone is delicious and all. Have you given any thoughts about how it will affect your build if you chose d2 and lancer2 is great or if you chose lancer and d3 is great. I bet i might wait it out for r9 announcement since my cata is not my main. Is lancer 1 amazing in pvp so far compared to dethrone?
