If it must cata something,which one is better in PVP and PVE?
Dragoon is a good choice both in PVP and PVE.
I can dragon fall on some poor guys with my big fat pengiun @ss and dethrone help me deal damage in safe distance.
Unfortunately,the new cata skill doesn’t work on dragoon but it works on lancer.
However,lancer doesn’t have decent AOE skills .
Catalancer is very op in PvP. In PvM, It does very very good against bosses but terribly against everything else (farming, HG, challenge mode, dg runs, etc) because lack of AoE skills.
Catagoon is decent in PvP (just decent). In PvM, it does very good against bosses and also good at normal farming. If you have Pelta 2 together in your build, it’s one of the best swordman builds available atm for farming (granted you have good gear to make up for Cata’s low skill factors). Unmounted Dragoon will always do more damage but lose out on move speed which makes farming usually slower since you have to run from room to room.
Catas have a much better synergy with Lancer than Dragoons. Acrobatic Mount (new skill yet to come) gives +50% damage with all Lancer skills and Initiative gives +30% damage with Rush. Dragoons have almost no synergy with Dragoon, so picking cata is basically better movement speed to them.

Dont go for catagoon…
Sw1>Pelt1>Hop3>Corsair1>Dragoon C3
Hook will be usefulll with Dragonfall.
You have a very high blockrate. (2h spear on hopgoon are for noobs)
For Farming Sw1 PElt1 Hop3 Doppel1 Dragoon 3.
Double pay earn >Dragonfall
