Cata block penetration is weird

Ok, first look at the pictures.

I have 404 STR and somehow I have 633 block penetration

This is more than 1.2 block pen per STR (it’s around 1.5, minus collection and SPR)

But the block pen attribute of cata is not working (see Cata block penetration attribute not working), I took off my lydeka (19 STR) and my block pen goes down exactly 23 (=19 * 1.2)

Then I’m not sure how I get 633 block pen in the first place, since 404 * 1.2 = 484. The extra 120 block pen comes from unknown

but bonus from cata 2hd spear mastery not working

2hand spear block penetration is definitely working. Tested this already…and someone posted a vid…

I have 2200 block when I use c guard…every melee class except only catagoon can penetrate it at rate of 6/10…unlike other class…only 1/10… definitely working…

It’s a hidden bonus, sort of how the added crit chance of double slash and sneak hit works. They don’t reflect on your stat window since they work “on hit”.
