would a cata3 build be good for playing casually?
For casual, I would suggest some class/build that you actually enjoy playing, regardless of how good it is

The one I played until I quit, Sword1/highlander1/barbarian3/doppel 3. Never got bored with that char, loved it from the begining to the end.
