let’s just bump this post (for the other players having the same prob)
I am having the same problem too, reinstalled twice and no hope.
Some people suggested leaving the patcher running and I did (and i noticed in task manager, it is using some of the network mbs), I let it run for like 3hours but nothing happened, stuck on the patcher thing. :s really sad.
I wanna play but I can’t :S
ps. verifying game cache thing is like a vicious cycle
- Verify game cache and download the missing files
- Click play, the launcher starts then it says “We’ve updated the launcher, please restart it”
- Click play again, then again launcher stuck
- Attempt to verify cache again, then it says “7 files missing”
^repeat 1-2-3-4 again and again whilst it keeps saying “7 files missing” …
update: now i am stuck on 2 files rather than 7 files for verifying game cache…
