Cant Log Into Game 1082 error

Update: Steam got in contact with me and the solution was so simple it’s stupid. Hope you have the same success…

Exit steam completely
Right click steam, run as admin
Verify your game files.

I can’t tell you how many times I verified my game files without running steam as admin with no avail, but this solved my 1082 error and I no longer need a VPN to play again.
