I was having this problem this morning, it is connection problem, in my case, my ISP DNS server was down or some routes wasn’t working properly, what i did was add a huge list of DNS servers on my router, so far it is fine.

I’ve had similar issue for days. There are few things I’ve experienced:

  • fail to download list file.
  • we’ve updated client and try again later. --> but the process isn’t closed. I have to manually close it. Still, the problem persists.
  • The splash screen is shown, but the game won’t start. I notice that there is high bandwidth download during this time. I can’t figure out what the client is doing since there’s no progress bar appears.
  • I can log-in into the game, but all of my characters disappear but pet. So, I can’t get into the game.

Log-in issue is a basic issue that must be resolved. However, IMC let thte problem persists for weeks without proper action. Such a shame!

I am not taking anyone side here, but since it is only a few far between that have the problem, it is most likely to be ISP or route to server problem, try adding more DNS servers on your router or even on the network adapter should do the trick, if the problem persist, then do a virus scan and try to reset the network adapter state.

PS.: For the things i mentioned google for it on how to do it, since it is different (router case) from each device.
