Can't awaken weapons or add awakening stones for other people

Date and Time: occurring right now at 4:17 PM PST, 12/28/17 BUT this bug was around last update too, just thought it’d get fixed.

Bug Description : When a friend requests awakening, they can slot their weapon and everything but every time I try to add an awakening stone or open the portal, it just keeps saying “[IGN] is selecting an item. Please wait a moment.” in system messages, and refuses to let me do either. Yes, my friend had already selected a weapon, and it shows for me, calcite cost and all.

Note: I can awaken and use stones on my weapons just fine, and my friend can join me in MY weapon dungeons. They are also in a party/guild with me if that is a factor, and I have 3 skill points in my awakening skill. And yes, we’ve tried sitting around for 20+ minutes, changing maps, etc.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Go on an alchemist and have someone request an item awakening dungeon
  2. Attempt to put in an awakening stone OR attempt to start the dungeon
  3. You should see a system message and it won’t let you use the stone.

That’s odd, I can enter/make awakenings just fine, the last one I did was yesterday for a guildie, are you sure you had the correct amount of calcites on you , when you tried to open the Awakening Dungeon?

Also, this may be wrong but trying doesn’t hurt, are you/him/her level 350+?
With the Awakening attribute from Alchemist the monsters spawn from a lower level, but maybe the system checks your level before taking into account the attribute, before opening the awakening

Yeah, other friends are doing okay with it. It’s strange, I’ve awakened weapons for her before, but since we came back it just doesn’t work.

I def have enough calcites, like more than double the amount needed since i just buy a bunch for gem roasting sometimes.

My alch is only 278 (she’s 350 on this char) but she just helped me awaken my 350 weapon, and the monsters in dungeon were lv 200. It’d be…really odd and arbitrary if it doesn’t work just because it’s her weapon, but that might be it, yeah!
