Cancelling attack animation by jumping: please, no

There is nothing about “skill” to it, and is just plain annoying. You are making it even worse by making it a feature and endorsing the use via ingame tips broadcast. So it’s basically either bunny hop too or get marked a gimp. Yay.

Why not fix the issue at hand and just don’t allow to cancel the animation?

You don’t have to jump you know, moving in any direction does it also.

yes , in my wizard I walk back and I attack walk and I attack , it makes a same thing I think . :sweat:

Same, I think jump attack is really cool.

If you don’t like it, you’re welcome to not do it. Don’t beg for it to be removed and ruin it for everyone else. That’s incredibly selfish.

This is a feedback section, where I can post my opinion on the game. You don’t have to agree with my opinion, calling me selfish for having one differing from yours is really narrow-minded.

I am not against jump mechanics to dodge, but having to jump permanently to increase my dps is silly. If walking is the same (didn’t test yet), then that’s ok-ish for me, I guess.

If you’re a swordsman, jumping isn’t an increase in dps. you can only swing once while jumping and the jump animation is longer than the regular attack animation.

Also if you don’t like to jump attack, you can always just not jump and attack. Problem solved!

Just party with a cleric who can heal up your damage and you’re good!

I’m obviously talking about ranged classes like Wizard and Archer. That’s where the bonus is most visible.

Yeah I agree the wizard auto attack needs fixing. So why not ask them to fix it? rather than asking them to remove jump attack for all classes?

There is nothing wrong to keep it in the game. If you dislike it you dont have to use it. Why stop players who enjoy this feature just because you dislike it.

Because this an MMO not a single player.

I fully agree with OP on this matter. t’s as annoying as people who write caps in chats/forums, difference being you can’t filter them out. To jump you hit the key with your left hand which is free anyway after the attack, so it doesn’t require any additional skill over simply moving into any direction.

Is it the characters lower body dont change just same as to no jump animation when we do jump + attack? It’s more looks like a bug than a feature. They must add a special animation for it… Maybe this is the reason why there is ani cancel coz they are not yet done with it or still undecided.

OP probably refers to the global announcements with tips covering jumping thus implying it’s a feature.

Exactly, in my feedback after beta, I was going to include the need for a special animation attack motion for jumping at least.

Yer, the fact that attacking fixes your character on the spot is annoying. I might have accepted it as a necessary mechanic if it was there for a good purpose, but as it is, its just been inserted into game to gimp your gameplay, if you want to have more fluid and decent attack movement, you need to jump-attack… Not even getting into attck speed.

It feels anoying having the movement penality for attacking, but whats more anoying is that we are expected to jump constantly…

I agree, as someone who has wrist problems and arm pain, this really sound painful/annoying to do, but I will absolutely feel as if I need to do it to achieve max dps…

I still don’t get why other people using jump + skill will affect your game…
They are giving more damage? Where this affects you? o_O

It will affect the game if they think of it as a feature, as they’ll end up balancing the game over it as well.
And i surely wouldn’t like some gameplay based on people jumping and attacking all the time to maximize mobility and dps.
If we’re supposed to be standing still while attacking and they balance the game over that, then there is no point for such a workaround. And it is even detrimental for the balance.
If we’re supposed to move and attack at the same time and they balance the game over that, then just make that the default and don’t make us rely on workarounds.
