Can you progress in the game without PvPing?

So I am currently playing a game that forces me to pvp to upgrade my gear…I hate it. Does anyone know if Tree of Savior can be played purely PvE?

I take it you were playing a NCsoft game.
And no, you don’t have to PVP to progress on Tree of Savior.
PVE to your hearts content.

Yes I am sadly. using it to kill time til Tree of Savior! and yay so glad! cause I really want to make a pure healer/support character in tree of savior and just go around buffing people.

This is the dummest design decition I’ve heard in my life.

they have “soft” on their name so am not completely surprised xD

Aion probably? I got stuck around level 46 because I was forced to PvP in order to get better gear. That, or grind with groups that were hard to find because I was not a class that was wanted in a party. XP

I played Aion for years and you was not forced to pvp at least you wanted to get PVP equipment, if you was going for full pve experience then you only need to do pve; the equipment was totally different. So how was you forced to pvp?

PVE for PVP gear - i loved this feature.

Hahahahaha my bad, you only need to do pve xD

In order to level, I was forced to PvP against players that were constantly pouring through rifts and ganking me. I tried grinding AP through objectives in the abyss just so I could buy abyss gear and survive these gankings, but I couldn’t land for more than a few minutes before somebody hiding behind a corner came up and killed me. I couldn’t defend myself because their PvP gear made them so strong, so all I could do was run away. There was no “pure PvE experience” for me in Aion.
