Nonsense, trading restrictions are a thing in many mmos. Guild wars 2 for example doesn’t allow 1:1 trading at all. It’s trading post or nothing.
All restrictions in this game are absurd and useless
People bypass entry restrictions by just running instances on a bunch of alts
Bots bypass trade restrictions by selling silver via market
They are literally just a minor annoyance for vets/bots while being a massive turn off for new players
All restrictions should of been abolished long ago, but they weren’t and here we are dropping below 2k players again
Why, instead of adding these trading restrictions, IMC don’t add more premium features like:
1 - New Areas (restricted to F2p of course)
2 - New daily “Minigames” or such where you can get cool items, costumes, titles or 3 days pets(idk, 1vs1 arenas, battleball, snowball fight, water balloon fights, etc [actually, these sounds like minigames for seasonal events xd])
3 - New items with special features (like special attacks, buffs, or whatever)
4 - More daily rewards features
5 - New and BETTER Quests (which grants more status points)
6 - More roleplaying stuff (like having a house and decorating it, and so you can call your friends to party, for example)
7 - Ability to use more class outfits than a f2p can, which can be unlocked with hard quests (like having a tier 2 or 3 class costumes)
8 - Costume for pets (that can also be unlocked, with quests or minigames)
9 - 25 or 50% more time durations for buffs
10 - A happy hour(like having 50% more exp for 1 hour).
Idk, these can be a few of the cool things that IMC can add to keep and increase the monetary income while giving the players community a cool game to play (maybe).
I just see people discussing with each other and justifyng this new update (or whatever), but i don’t see anyone to actually post some kind of “solving” to this. I see games where trading doesn’t have any restriction at all or have only a little few and i see they’re cool without it. Maybe it’s fine adding these restrictions, maybe… (IMO, isn’t cool at all), but they have could add it in the future, but right now it’ll affect a lot of players that are used to the classic no restriction trade system (that was actually fine as it was). Remember that the Market is more for: “I don’t have anyone who wants to buy my items, i better leave them in the market and let’s see if i have luck and someone buy my items, so i won’t be wasting my time using megaphones or asking players 1 by 1 if they want to buy my stuff”. Also, the market can be used as a “second storage”, have your storage full? put some overpriced items there, and you’ll have more space in your storage box.
