Ehm, nope.
You might be able to not play for one day and have no issue with it, some others will rage over it (especially if its their only day off at work).
Emergency maintenances becomes a thing after bugs are known, believe it or not having 5~20 person doing the testing on IMC isn’t enough to make sure there’s no “critical” bug left, bugs that doesn’t matter much as they don’t really break the gameplay might have to wait till the next weekly maintenance to be fixed.
But still, sometimes you have to open the servers and let thousands of players check what’s going on to see if there’s critical bugs left or not, and depending on how critical they are, an additional emergency maintenance is scheduled sooner or later.
Trust me, I’ve been playing in Korean servers for years now (other games than ToS) and they always have that kind of stuffs, a weekly maintenance with content update would be weird if its not extended and followed by 2 more emergency maintenances.
