I think the whole nickname thing is neat, but I’d prefer my characters name only be one word. Even if it meant all my characters would share the same name. Or maybe a way to hide our family name.
I’m not very good at putting together two word names and i think the whole last name/family name thing would bug a lot of people just because the family name might not go well with some of their nicknames and vice versa.
Maybe there’s options to toggle it? Idk. 
If I remember right, it is possible to hide the family name.
