Can Owl Statues crit? Dmg okay with no INT?

Two questions:

  1. Can the owl statue damage crit? Tosgbase says is is melee damage.

  2. I’ve seen some people say the damage scales with INT, is the damage still viable at later levels with zero INT?

If its magic attacks, they don’t crit, and no INT means you will do base damage + weapon damage (in case of rods or mace magic attack stats).
