Can I still change course with these stats?

Hi everyone!

I am level 39 Cleric 2 and my initial intention is to go Monk. No particular reason actually. However, seeing how Monks are not very strong at the moment, and I really need a good character to farm items and silver (this is my first character), I am thinking of going to another more viable class.

That said, I have invested a lot in Str (my stats below) so I am not sure what other classes I can go to. Can anyone suggest a class that can fit into my stats and be a viable first character to farm for items and silver?

Hmm…

Monk is a good class, with Cleric 2 you can assume a healer role on parties/dungeons, and you can make use of your current stats. If I’m not mistaken, Diev in your build would be great (this info could be outdated).

As I’m not a Monk myself, I can just say something from what I read, so it’s better that you wait for the people who knows their things. Besides that, in my opinion, you should stick with your initial plan.

Just a question: Reset Stats Potion can still be obtained?

ATM Reset stats potions only exist with the 1st DLC pack, none are available on any shop… Hope they will add it soon !

to farm items and silver monk is pretty good actually due to the spammable nature of double punch.

but i recommned going
Cleric2>Diev2>Monk3

laima+owl is the ultimate girnd machine (its a litteral machine)

I bought all of the DLC packs, and again when it was on discount, so I have 2 stat reset potions. That said, I am hoping not to use it as I am pretty sure Ill mess up again in the future :sob:

After seeing some ktos skill changes i hope they will provide a way to reset stats. I seriously do not understand why they wouldn’t add stat reset to TP shop.

I would strongly recommend you to make a new character if you don’t want to be a monk anymore.

Level 39 is pretty fast to get (esp if you already know how to do the quests since it won’t be your first time doing them anymore) and you won’t have to worry about points being spent into wrong places anymore.

I wouldnt say monks aren’t very strong… They aren’t kings of DPS but they aren’t bad either, but that’s just how any DPS cleric will be (sadly).

I you want a character for farming, you are looking at the wrong Class tree, archers and wizards are the meta farming builds

Monk class is a product of great love and patience. you won’t feel its strength until Monk C3, its an all around class but does not excelling at any.

In KToS pvp top 100 builds (April 2016) there are 3 Monks in the top 100 and only 2 Swordsman Class the rest are Wizards, archers, and INT Cleric Plague Doctors. That is only 5 melee classes and only 2 from the swordsman class tree,
