Tree of Savior Forum

Can I run this game on my laptop?

You are really underestimating Intel HD Graphics. Just look it up, they can play things decently

You seem to not remember what you said.

Again, do your homework before you start spouting incorrect information on the forums.

You meet the minimum amount of ram.

What do you consider ‘decent’. 25fps at 1366x768 or something? I don’t consider this ‘decent’ at all. I consider it bad on the eyes.

I’m always amused when someone so ignorant insists that another person is wrong but doesn’t even grasp the concept themselves…

If you think that even current gen intel integrated graphics can run games like Runescape ‘smoothly’ then enjoy your ignorance, it must be convenient.

The thing is, he is asking if it can run on his laptop. He’s not asking if it’ll be “super-mega awesome HD OMG”. I would say 25 fps at such a resolution is good enough to say it runs.

I would say this is decent enough:

The OP is probably not expecting something amazing. Just something that works

Didnt you notice you went from “totally unplayable/not even starting” to “not running smoothly at 25fps” just within 2 posts?

Man, for having an ego as big as yours, you’re quite careless.

It still might not even start. It depends entirely upon what the game looks with regards to hardware.

But hey like I said, enjoy your ignorance it must be convenient ;)!

You’re the one crawling back with your answers and resort to petty insults about ignorance to dismiss other people’s arguments.
You ignore the arguments and the video I posted, and the report @Seiryuu posted of experience with a similar build playing this game

I find all of which you said a bit ironic.

What the OP has in Intel® HD Graphics 5500 along with a 2.2 GHz processor with two cores and anything above Intel® HD Graphics 4000—with the latest drivers—should be able to handle these genre of games with at least low to medium settings depending on the demand of the game:

Shooters:

• Call of Duty
• Mass Effect (series)
• CS:GO
• Bioshock Infinite
• Borderlands (series)

MOBAs:

• League of Legends
• Dota 2 (certainly low)
• Smite (iffy med-range)

MMOs:

• Certainly this game because he DOES meet the minimum requirements.
• Aion
• Blade & Soul
• DayZ
• Diablo III
• The Elder Scrolls Online
• Final Fantasy XIV
• Lineage I & II
• TERA
• World of Warcraft (every DLC)

RPGs

• Dark Souls I & II (and most likely III if they have no rehauled the graphics)
• Faery: Legends of Avalon

Fighting:

• Dynasty Warriors 8

I have much more games to list that the OP can play, because his processor and graphics are enough to handle them AT LEAST around low to medium settings, but I decided to list only demanding-ish games. If the OP can handle those game then he can most certainly play Tree of Savior.
The OP did not ask if he/she can play Tree of Savior smoothly or at max settings.

His graphics is equipped with a GPU that offers 11.2 DirectX support, 5.0 shaders (24 shader processing units), and it is able to go up to 950 MHz with turbo boost enabled (Intel’s version of overclocking).

I should not have to explain the OP’s processor as it is efficent enough for him to at least meet the minimum requirements to play the games I have listed above.

You also don’t have a dedicated graphics chip. Honestly this is not negotiable. Your cheap netbook isn’t going to run this game at all. It may not even start without a dedicated graphics chip.
You have not offered anything helpful for the OP in this thread, instead, you decided to bring aggression and unnecessary posts.
I’m done discussing this with you since you are rather notorious for arguing with others in this forum just to prove a point or possibly troll.

Please read the Terms of Service before you decide to do this in any future threads.

LOL

I’m taking Cursewords as a troll. I checked benchmarks for OP’s laptop spec before posting to be absolutely sure.

Contrary to popular belief many a gamer, including myself, tend to over compensate their computer specs to play games. High end computers are not necessary to this play games. Its not to mention a lot of non dedicated intel chips are getting better at playing video games. Laptops are still not the the best to play a game on but its not impossible.

Wow what a load of TL;DR!

You can run Skyrim on low, with a few settings on medium on that chip. Big deal. The facts still remain:

 1. Many games won’t run if they don’t detect a dedicated graphics chip.
 2. Even if you can run the game at low, and it does start, that doesn’t mean performance is going to be okay when you get into packed areas like towns and popular grinding spots. When the game drops in 3 days it’s going to be packed and it will take days for the population to spread out to make frame drops in popular areas less common. When it drops as f2p in late April, performance is going to be even worse.
 3. If the OPs native resolution is 1920x1080 then he’s going to have an even harder time getting it to run even half-playable. Playing at less than the native resolution is going to look like garbage, but if he’s fine with that, good for him.
 4. OP doesn’t have much RAM either, and if his laptop is full of bloat, or isn’t well optimised then he’ll just lose more fluidity on a laptop that’s already going to barely give him any performance.
 5. Add this together with any latency issues the OP (may or may not) experience and you’re not talking about ‘smooth’ gameplay.

We can argue all day whether or not the OP can play the game on integrated graphics but he’ll just have to see. You presented your opinions and I gave mine. Honestly I don’t think that OP will be able to play this game smoothly even at low settings (especially at anything higher than 1366x768). ToS is barely out of beta, not well optimised and his hardware is not remotely designed to play games, you can argue that all you want but it’s a fact.

I say it’s not going to be possible, and if it is possible it’s not going to be an enjoyable experience. But sure, if gaming on a toaster is your idea of ‘fun’ then hey, maybe you can pull it off!

It may not be impossible but it’s probably not very enjoyable either. Seriously if the Intel 5500 was capable of playing HQ games with even mediocre performance then most people wouldn’t buy laptops with dedicated chips.

Shooters:

• Call of Duty - What like CoD 1 or something? Surely you don’t mean Black Ops etc. The game won’t even start without a dedicated DX11 chip, let alone if you don’t have enough RAM. Learn to google.

CS:GO• - Sure if you don’t mind getting destroyed by people with 26" 144hz monitors, whilst you’re stuck at 1366x768 on a 14" laptop LCD barely getting 30fps.
Bioshock Infinite• - If you had said Bioshock 1 or 2 I may have believed you.

DayZ• Ughhh kids. This game barely runs well even on my GTX 980 Ti. OPs toaster would have no chance. Besides what is the point of playing a game like DayZ if you have to play it on lowest?

World of Warcraft (every DLC) - No way it wouldn’t tank in raids even on low.

TERA - LOL! No chance!
Bonus reply because I couldn’t resist pointing out how stupid these theories are. I feel sad for people who even have to ask “Can my toaster play this?”

See you in-game gril.

uhm i dont really know about my specs on my laptop or what graphics. but my laptop is for gaming if you know what i mean. thanks by the way.

No specifications provided whatsoever about why the OP’s computer may not be able to run Tree of Savior—and any other game you mentioned (for some reason) that’s unrelated to the topic.

Dude, why are you even here? You’re obviously not here to help the OP and provide helpful feedback. You literally provided NO help whatsoever, you just attacked and challenged everyone while saying his PC is only for browsing the web without stating why.

Judging by your forum activity, you seem to be well-versed in starting crap on people’s threads and the threads you make yourself. You say you are twenty years old? Act like a mature twenty year old person and stop senselessly attacking people on the forums. This thread was just fine until you came here.

I can’t believe my first post was used on this guy.

@Staff_Julie Could you please lock this thread before more trouble comes out of it? I’m sure the OP got his answer.

Where did I say I was 20 lol?

Cherry picking parts of my post doesn’t prove any point what-so-ever.

For the record I’ve probably posted more factual, on-topic information in this thread than anyone else combined.

Let the mods do their job without backseat modding. No one is abusing anyone here, I’m not swearing at anyone. Haven’t you ever witnessed a debate? Forums are for discussing, if someone doesn’t want to discuss any more then they can walk away at any time.

Finally take your own advice. You aren’t contributing to the thread topic yourself so sshh.

It seems like the dispute isn’t ending. I’ll close the thread.
