There is no better for pve/pvp. You can go sw1 > highlander1 > barb1 > hoplite1 etc. and still able to fight bosses/pvp.
That link you post has a pretty normal barb skill build, nothing special nothing bad, you can just go shinobi after barb if you prefer the skills. End of the day just play what you like imho.
