I am a bit clueless about the upcoming patch and I want to ask for a good swordsman build 
Raise a SwPeltHop3DopGoon2(currently strong and well rounded, easy to level) to R8 class lvl1, then reset to desired build after the proper finalized info comes out.

Well nothing’s finalized yet and chances are they won’t be until the very last minute when it comes to us. However, there’s mention of an event that will provide resets, so your best bet is to just create an easy to level swordie class and try to rush to rank 8 as fast as possible, then you can reset it from there.

Since it’s a re-work of mechanics, everything is uncertain even the meta now, until we have experienced these mechanics ourselves.
^ What he said. Just focus on speed-leveling a sword build you find easy to use, then just decide later when reset comes where lots of new “optimal” builds would come out as well.
