Can Falconer use Hunter skills?

so i plan to play 2 Archer 3 Hunter and 1 Falconer but suddenly i just thought about Hunter and Falconer Skills and his/her companions.

Hunter - Doggy(i have no idea wtf is that but some skill called ‘Rush Dog’ so i guess that’s doggy?)
Falconer - Hawk

and Skills description only said ‘Companions’ not companion type
so i just wanna know who have experience on hunter and falconer to confirmed that
When i reach to Falconer i still use Hunter skills to command my Hawk like Doggy? or that’s gonna be useless skills and waste of times.
