I don’t know when we are going to see the buff in rune casters in itos. But you can mark my words that rune casters are going to be a thing in pvp.
With this in mind, can hunter’s pet grab a Rune Caster with the Giant rune buff? I’m not sure if rune of giants makes your character X or XL.
i didn’t get what you ask for ,cuz i don’t know any Archer class :X
the buff have no effect else then +100% hp + def and +20 speed movement
so big or so small no different 
what OP said is true. I have a hunter and i can confirm that “anyone can be coursed”. Even if they are in SZ or had austrine up. Being a giant doesn’t prevent coursing.
Also its quite funny to see those big ass giants mounting their tiny TP pets.

Giant players are considered large-type and will have their HP and defense increased
XL always boss types and Rune of Giants doesn’t immune to any debuff.
PS.Even they buff the rune. they still weak to Miko/Inquis/Pd due to size to player (Bigger = hard to dodge) and the Casting time from Rune caster was too long.
