Can C1 Alchemist Summon Homunculus?

The skill required to create an Alchemist’s Stone is a C3 Alchemist Skill called Magnum Opus. However, Alchemist’s Stone is an item that can be traded and listed on the Market. I was able to get an Alchemist’s Stone as C1 Alchemist, but when I right click the stone, it just says “Unable to use this item in its current state.”

May anyone confirm whether I can really summon a Homunculus below C3 Alchemist without Magnum Opus?
And may anyone confirm whether I can purchase/trade for an Alchemist’s Stone that I did not craft, and use it to summon my own Homunculus?

I don’t want replies of rumors or speculation. I want a real confirmed answer, please.

You can summon a Homunculus, doesn’t matter if you bought one or made one, as long as you are an Alchemist C2 or C3.

In other words, I have to be at least C2 in order to summon a Homunculus?
