Can archer brew potion or refine weapon? I love archer and playing a support for a team (my skills sucks^^).
Only Alchemist can make potions. Archers can only make arrows (from the classes that we know of atm not sure what appraiser does)… which can only be used by other archers of the same class who are just too lazy to make their own arrows.
Refining weapons… eh… dunno what you mean by that but if you mean increasing weapon damage by +ing it, then everyone can do that by using an anvil bought at the npc trader. 100% to +5 anything higher has chance to lower potential.
If you want to be a support as an archer. I would suggest Sapper since anything else I can’t really think of… maybe Scout and Undistance? Rogue for Vendetta? I dunno but go here to make and think of your own archer builds

If i were you i would wait till the other classes Rank 6+ have more information.
like a Shepard, an Appraiser or a Pied Piper
All of them sound like support, or trade classes.
And archer classes also has some debuff skills which you could use to support your group.
For example wugushi skills:
Wugong Gu - has an attribute that increases the dmg the poisoned mob recieves
Bewitch - confuses poisoned enemys
Scout skills:
Undistance - patry channeled buff, that increases the attack range
Flu Flu - fear, chaos debuff
Flare shot - with attribute increases dmg against hit monster
hunter skills:
Coursing - reduces def/mdef and increases crit chance
Snatching - brings flying enemy down
Pointing - reduces evasion of enemy
Growling - fear
Retrieve - pet carries enemy to you, and reduces def with attribute
Hounding - to find hidden enemys
i could immagine an "support like build with archer->quarrel->3xHunter->wugushi and on the higher ranks more wughushi, sheppard, appraiser, pied piper … something like that ^^

That’s the whole point of an class system.
Either make an Alchemist with a bit of Mage DPS, for these crafting and seeling shops.
Or make an Squire, from an Knight Class after sometime. To do specialised shops and stuff.
Archer have a few craftables to make. But it’s only archer related stuff: Traps/ Arrows.
And there’s atleast 10 ranks for an char.
Possible that there’s an craft type archer somewhere there.
Like making leather armor and boots or crafting amulets from bones and feathers.
