Why do people like cafrisun set? what makes it so special?

gives additional damage meaning 2nd instance of damage like pyro’s enchant fire or priest’s sacrament.

this are good for autoattack class (more like every class lol)

but isnt it just 12 additional damage? is there a way to up its damage or am I missing something?

well that 12 damage can go all the way to 100 damage for my case

12dmg alone is not big however 12dmg could get additional dmg from any +elm dmg source. Now your arde is double effective since it give +150dmg to main attack and +150dmg to 12dmg hit. If you get any headgear with +elm dmg the number roll up. If you pair with priest, the blessing boost 12dmg hit significantly.

So if I find any armor piece (body/hands/legs/feet) that has >12 elemental damage, should I dump the entire Cafrisun set?

I’m still wearing mine at Lv 80 and it feels like I take a lot of dmg whenever I get hit.

The benefit of the Cafrisun set isn’t just that it gives 12 damage. The 12 damage from the set counts as a second hit. So when you do your normal attack once, it hits twice (once for your autoattack, once for the 12 damage from Cafrisun). Other damage modifiers (like Blessing, Arde Dagger, etc) apply to both hits. So instead of getting +153 fire damage on a single attack with an Arde Dagger equipped, you’ll get +153 damage on each of the two hits (+306 damage total) when you’ve got Cafrisun equipped.

So no, just finding a piece of gear that has more than 12 elemental damage won’t necessarily increase your dps since it likely won’t function the same way that Cafrisun functions.

but then if you dont autoattack much (playing wizard for example) then any piece with some elemental damage will be better than cafrisun.
