paladin2-3 with oracle1 can afk farm
by using conversion and change
Paladin itself is not a DPs class. Going paladin3 , DPs wise, is for the conviction debuff which will boost your inqui dmg. Cause r8 onwards, monk3 double punch + kame DPs will fall off, compare to other DPS class.
Your dmg will mostly from God Smash and pear of anguish.
You won’t always get rank 1 with this build. And believe me, at r8, neither do monk3. It depends on your partymate, if by chance you get a rod3 who debuff for you (strip armor or something, boost strike type dmg), you ll easily get rank 1.
So I went 3 ranks just for… Conviction? Is it really worth it? 3 ranks just for conviction… You said double punch fall off… But I feel like smite is even worst against anything that isn’t mutant/devil. 2 overheat, 9 cooldown and high SP cost…
Restoration flat HP/SP is crap. Barrier is crap when people can use barrier scrolls. Resist element 3minutes cooldown. Almost feel like there is nothing for paladin3 going beside conviction buffing inquisitor damage like you said…

paladin2-3 with oracle1 can afk farm
[/quote]Not working anymore after recent patch.
@Ronteque : mostly Conviction and Resist Elements, yeah. TU’s also good if you can get it to a decent level, around lv4~6. Smite is just filler later on.
Paladin3 seems to be a pretty subpar choice atm, even for Inqui. The burst on Conviction + God Smash + Smite is good, but not worth three ranks. It’s not horrible , but it’s not good either.
If Smite is just a filler later on, is it worth losing 5points on smite going 10/15 instead of 15/15 and put 6/15 on TU instead even though I have 0 SPR?
Man I really regret picking paladin 3… Should have just gone Monk2 or Monk3 instead.
as a paladin c3 pd inq, i feel your pain. pally don’t have dmg compared to other classes at rank 6 or below and if you’re getting kabba/oracle for r7 your dmg would still be low. pd or monk would help your dps. monk for consistent dps, pd for conviction + incinerate combo. agny helps incinerate a lot and is good for boss fights.
The damage will be low because even a five gemmed Five Hammer can’t boost your stats to astronomical levels. The greatest problem is the high variance between minimum and maximum attack.
The reason for that problem is that all maces below lvl 315 are complete trash.
Krausas Mace is great for Bokor, but all the others have a bad scaling of both patk and matk, and are way worse than spears, swords, staffs, etc. if you compare their stats.
If you have skills with really bad base damage like Sadhus Possession e.g., the amount of possible damage will be extremely low, no matter what you do, because even if you sink your points into INT, that’s +350 damage at most (+ attribute damage) at around level 250 (unless you put all your points into INT). Once you hit 315+ and get your hands on either Skull Smasher or Vienerazis Mace and start transcending the weapon, you’ll never cry again for low damage, even if your basic skill damage was crap initially.
As I said I took the hard path but I don’t regret it (Kabbalist is quite fun actually, I think I’ll switch my main to this character), as I know from my Bokor Oracle that even heavier investing builds fall off in damage until they can get the better weaponry around lvl 315.
You’ll forget the hardships later anyway once you hit Inquisitor around lvl 270-280 and can start to Smash your enemies instead of just Smiting them
Miko is a good fitting into that build.
Miko has instant debuff/dispell
A “magic trap” who do not let enemies move (Hamaya)
a Dance who boosts your Wheel ( Kagura Dance)
you can completly skip the Clap btw
Hi everyone. Based on what I’ve read here, does this build now make sense for a Dex-Con Inquisitor (70-100 Con, rest Dex):
The build looks fine, the question is if your really need Safety Zone at lvl 10, especially if you have a maxed Barrier. As Barrier keeps the pesky mobs away from you which could diminish your Safety Zones hits fast enough to cancel the 30 hits threshold with attribute +lvl 4/5 of the skill, it might be enough to keep the skill at lvl 5 and put the rest into either Fade or Divine Might.
I’d strongly opt for Divine Might 10 in your build since many of your skills will quickly use up your Divine Might charges(e.g. the 3 Smites in 9 seconds),
so you will rather not run out so fast/increase your damage this way.
However, I don’t know how barrier interacts with special/elite mobs,
so you should aquire information concerning this point first before taking any action. I can, however, ± guarantee from my own experience on 2 Clerics, one with and 1 without (lvl 4 on my Kabbalist) lvl 10 Safety Zone, that in 90=% of the cases the Zone lasted until the time was over, especially if you have a high dodge rate.
A thing you could do is to level Safety Zone to 5 and leave 5 points unused on Cleric C3, trying it out for yourself first before deciding wether to put the points into Safety Zone 10 or not (until you reach Rank 8 content like Inner Wall District 8/9 e.g.). You’d probably have no difficulty anyway along your road to 270+ unless your equip is very bad, but then again mobbing large amounts of enemies before trying to kill them before Safety Zone runs out seems foolish xD For me, I’m still running around with my Shade Skirt and Shade Dancer with one level 5 yellow gem in each of them at level 275, and monsters aside from Rank 8 content didn’t really affect me much physically(I’m not even using a shield…).
I’d take one point from Barrier and dump it into Conversion, it will be very helpful if you can convert any strong mob with this skill, and investing 1 point into Conversion is never a wrong choice.
An idea that just came to me is that maybe Breaking Wheel could do some Conversion-magic for you, since it hits very fast and lasts ± as long as Conversion on lvl1/2 (with nearly the same CD time).
If this works, it’d be a great combination to consider. It’d be stuff to test first, though, because I don’t know if any non-direct hits from you would convert enemies (and how it works in combination with hitting the wheel instead e.g.). So many things to consider and test xD
